its not yet confirmed, but by the sound of rumors, the Steelers will be missing their starting QB for 4 to 6 weeks.

confirmed 6 weeks and could be more if roger goodell thinks he hasnt improved his image

i think its right but its gotta be hard for the steelers and thier fans to swallow, he's really gotta hit the ground running when he comes back.

Plus, the Steeler's are trying to trade him for a top 10 pick.

UPDATE: Big Ben is suspended for 6 games per ESPN and NFL.com...On the flip side, if he behaves himself, then his suspension will be reduced to 4 games.

people are saying oakland is going to trade their number 8 and aso for big ben. that would be a bad trade for oaklandd, but al is stupid and would make a dumb trade like this. the number 8 for big ben would be a good trade, cuz oakland cant draft first round talent. raider fans can only hope he suits up in the silver and black.

Ok guys...Let me get this issue straightened up....Nnamdi will not be traded to the Steelers for Ben and the 18th pick. All the Steelers want is a top 10 draft pick for Ben. No talks are going on about Nnamdi becoming a Steeler...Let me tell you what will happen. Oakland might make the trade for Ben happen...But it won't involve giving up Nnamdi...Instead, the Steelers might get another draft pick from Oakland....Now, since the NFL is in a uncapped year, and if Ben does get traded to Oakland, then I'm willing to bet Jamarcus and his big contract gets dumped without Oakland taking a huge cap hit for it, since this year is uncapped.

I'm very pissed off that the NFL itself is suspending Ben. If the
Rooneys want to, and they would have, it should of been left to them.
The NFL has no business suspending him for a he said, she said,
"crime". I didn't see Shawn Merriman getting suspended for allegedly

did. You can claim there's a "pattern" but it's a pattern of bullshit.

Raiders need to trade for Big Ben straight up #8 pick for him. Al is going to pick a bust like Mays, Clausen, or Campbell anyway at #8. The silver and black fans will totally embrace him.

Give them next year's first as well if you need to...if they don't draft Clausen this year they are probably going to draft another QB in the top five without Big Ben and he'll probably be a bust too. Saving yourself two bust picks and a lot of headache.

-Trade for Big Ben
-Cut fat boy Russell and take the hit it's an uncapped year
-Sign a older FA QB to replace Russell
-Goodell lowers the suspension to 4 games
-Raiders finish second in the AFC West and finally draft out of the top 10

Im a Eagle Fan and Vick got a 2 game suspension and Big Ben has 6 that's not fair. You made our point in that post multiple times. Animals AREN'T humans, hence why it isn't as big of a deal in the Mike Vick case. I care more about anybody doing anything to a human more than I care about what is done to an animal. Also, you said Ben made a mistake...So these other people you are talking about haven't?
