| 1. Nickel 1-5-5 - SS Zone Blitz
Setup
1. Call BNR and freeze the defense. 2. Shift the DL to the left. 3. Re-blitz the DT. 4. Stack the MLB in the A Gap and re-blitz him. 5. Blitz the LB directly over the LG. 6. Put the SS into a buzz zone or flat zone.
Conclusion:
This is a great way to bring outside pressure on your opponent with a zone coverage. When your blitzing out of this formation your opponent will more than likely pinch his offensive line. With this blitz you are bringing heavy heat from the outside as well as the A gap to provide you with an easy sack! I like to control the SS on this play and lurk the flats if the RB goes there or any receivers on the right side. For more outside pressure leave your SS on the right side Blitzing and you will heat coming from all angles.
2. Nickel 1-5-5 - Cover 2 Sink
Setup 1 (Casper Blitz)
1. Call BNR and freeze the defense. 2. Stack MLB on DT. 3. Place both RILB & LILB over Right and Left Guard and Reblitz. 4. Control DT and Turbo Blitz.
Setup 2 (Nano Blitz)
1. Call BNR and freeze the defense. 2. Blitz all Linebackers. 3. Stack the MLB over DT and reblitz. 4. Make sure both inside lbs are over the guards. 5. User the FS and watch the middle!
Setup 3 (F@G Defense)
Setup
1. Call BNR and freeze the defense. 2. Place MLB in Deep Zone. 3. Place both ILB's in Buzz Zones. 4. Spread Zones out (Y/Triangle Up on Right Stick)
Conclusion:
This play alone with no adjustments can still be ran if your opponent is trying to attack the middle of the field on you or is trying to hit fade routes and rocket catch out routes. This play will really throw them off. You just want to make sure your playing with a safety and watching deep because you only have 2 back there.
3. Nickel 1-5-5 - Cover 3 (F@G Defense)
Setup
1. Call BNR and freeze the defense. 2. Place both OLB's into Buzz Zones. 3. Shift Dline to Left and place DT in Contain. 4. Place RILB in Contain. 5. Place MLB in QB Spy.
Conclusion:
This is a great 11 man coverage play to use to mix in with all your plays. It does great coveraging on all parts of the field and it does not allow things like QB rolling out to make big plays. This is a must have for any defense!

| Good post, pretty damn funny, I don't use any e-books or anything, just developed my own s*** from 1-5-5 but I do your cover 2 Sink F@G the same EXACT way as you.
I do the nano a tad different and I do my cover 3, 3 man nano sort of the same as my cover 2 sink

| This formation is sick even without having to do a lot of adjustments imo, I usually use over storm brave as a run-stopper (flipped depending on which side they like to run to) and cover2 sink, and cover3 when u think pass, can be pretty effective if you have good stick skillz, but the biggest thing is guys never know where the heat is coming from which can lead to confusion which often equals=turnovers. | |
