The Texans are the red headed step child of Texas. The Cowboys will always be #1 and the Texans will probably move to California with that new stadium or somewhere else eventually.

When the Cowboys were founded great names like Clint Murchison, Gil Brandt and Tom Landry built the team from scratch. They did not have the luxury of a supplemental draft. Nor did they have the current salary cap and draft system of today, that allows bad teams to get good players.

They did it the old fashioned way, they earned it.

Your argument would be better served by comparing how well your expansion team did compared to other expansion teams. Nobody is buying your argument because it has no merit.

The Houston Texans franchise is a long way from being even close to the Dynasty that is the Dallas Cowboys.

After reading this post again, I realized my argument did not address the real issue here. You state the Texans got off to a better start than the Cowboys. So I went back into the history books.

After 8 seasons
Texans. 49wins and 79 losses. = 38% victories
Cowboys 56 wins and 63 losses = 47% victories
Not only did they win more games but as you pointed out they did it in a shorter season

After 128 Games
Texans 49 wins
Cowboys 64 wins

After 8 seasons the Cowboys had already won a playoff game and been to the playoffs 3 seasons.

The Texans have not done any of those things.

0-11 .. something the texans never did. Not get a win, put that in your book also.

40 points? Dude the cowboys had a bad game..... It's not like that happened to us every game.

This entire year we only lost 1 regular season game over 10 points. Then we went 1-1 in the playoffs.

oh and encase you didn't know this we shut down desean jackson 3 times this year.

If you want to talk about the relevance of a team, then you talk about their playoff stats and their playoff records. Because this is non existent for the Texans, they are yet to be considered a relevant team in the NFL.

Yes, they have the #1 WR in the league and they are showing a lot of promise, but until they actually do make the playoffs, there really isn't much room to talk.

As much as I hate the Cowboys, they are one of the league's most relevant teams of all time. They have had success in the playoffs and at least been to the playoffs many, many times. They are like the Yankees of the NFL. They have fans EVERYWHERE. Why? Because of their storied past.

I never thought id dislike a team more than the cowboys in texas but after joining this site the texan fans are so annoying all they seem to talk/care about is the stats for andre johnson and matt schaub plus they act like there team won 10 superbowls or someshyt the way they talk about them. and the funny thing is that this was there 1st winning season EVER!!!! COWBOYS rule texas btw and will for a long long long long time I don't like the boys but there franchise is good
