Rocket Catching

Do people rocket catch as much as last year ? I remeber last year if you werent a rocket catcher you werent good and personally i never bothered to learn it ,but is it the same this year ?

and the game has changed so it rocket catching still effective ?

its not used every ply like last year but it is still effective hell 2day i RC'd on some lvl 32 with a oline men on the 'boys

I blazed someone with it earlier today. Beware A ViDeO might be in the making on RC'ing

i dont RC but thats cuz i really dont have the hang of it. i tried to lab it so if someone did it against me, then i would do it back. but i figure EA will someday take this out of the game and they should. and when that happens its going to piss off a lot of players lol and i love it. i have played people that really only beat me cuz they RC'd and completed it on key situations but yet at the end of the game they throw like 7/30 with usually the chargers phillip rivers. i cant wait till they take it out, but for now you just have to deal with it. i dont run into it that much. prob 1 out of 10 games

I will admit this year I've seen a lot of RC'ing in real life. Like when DEN played DAL and Marshall went RC crazy on Newman. It was classic RC'ing caught A.Johnson, and K. Britt blaze it this year too.

alright if you can stay in the pocket and RC then ok i will give you props but its not real when someone rolls out and runs straight back and then throws it 40 yards and then bam an amazing catch that lebron couldnt make. watch this vid of mendenhall THROWING TO big ben. dont tell me this isnt B.S. haha.

i know you can RC while in the pocket, but very few do this that i have seen. i mean as long as i have a chance to get pressure then do it, but i hate when people run straight back

i do it in the pocket max protect rc

i usually only do a rc if im already up by quite a bit just as a slap in the face. usually ill do it for that last 10 yards too. Im still working on it with certain routes though, others i have it on lockdown. but who cant do it from the pocket? lol

i wasnt saying that people dont do it from the pocket. i was saying that i rather have people do it from the pocket so i have a chance to get pressure. i was saying that i hate when people sprint around the backfield and do it cuz that is straight cheesy

I dont even fool wit this no more it works rarely but some guys do it good

ya when people run straight back and then throw a perfect pass 40 yards down the field it crappy.. they should fix that.. you should immediately loss all of your accuracy when you do that...

how do you rocket catch? what is this?

if you use the search buttons theres plenty of guides how to do it. but basically you just click on your user turn him around and position him at the bottom of the circle and press Y or Triangle. where you position how you throw the ball or even if you lob the ball is entirely based on the route and position the Receiver is in, it takes getting used to and practice and even if you get it in practice it may not be smart to use in a real game unless your really confident.

youll know if you do it, lots of picks have a kinda RC animation. its just a quick turn around jump catch land on one leg. although there are some variations i really like the turn around jump catch fall backwards.
