What is the point of using a 46 defense?

I normally use a 3-4. What are benefits to a 46 defense i really have no idea? What is it better for?

stopping run,stacking box,you can stack the box with the same amount of corners as in a dime formation,multiple nanos and f@g d's,getting pressure,nice cover plays,can rotate between the normal package for the run and speed package for the pass,you can go from 2 corners on the field to 4 with a flip of the right stick and stay in the same formation while doing it,list goes on and on

the point of the 46 is to be a beast on D

lol seriously though its the best D in the game IMO. you can do an unlimted amount of thigs with it and do whatever you want with the O. i toy with other players by coming out in so many nanos they never know where it comes from. then i do the same and drop 10 back????? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

46 IMO is the most over rated pb n the game

lol, flyin... holler when you have some original opinions bro, all you do is agree with this or that... ish, theres much more to the 46 than a gap heat, its got great coverage plays out of dime, dime flat, qtr, all the nickel sets... i mean come on... u cant use the bear as a f**** base, but you throw it in with some dime with show blitz on and it gets hard to tell apart sometimes...

the 4-6 is good the problem is people don't use the 4-3 in it to set up the fire!!everybody want's to 4-6bear it all the time and you see it coming.

3-4 owns 4-3 any day, any formation lol. odd-split owns 46 any day. What else does this "fire" playbook have?

3-4 owns 4-3. It has better nanos, faster set-ups and more formations.

ok lets c ummm well 4 starters 46'es dime, dime flat, nickel an qtr's aint nothing special 46 bear wow it has like 1 good nano safety blitz an i can already tell u what u zone d is outa it cover 3 lol snugs would kill that s*** lol ummm.... now 2 the 46 part ok lets count the formations that kill it......almost everything with 2wr an a te lol u have 1 safety i already no ur responce 2 that....cover 2 hawk mlb n deep zone and user 1 of the dt's over the middle lol 5wide kills that screen an qb draw ohh an when u come out n nickel strong dnt even try the nb blitz i invented that nano n like the 1st grade ohh an mabye youll try colud zone outside slants kill it mabye throw a little safety blitz n there ill kill that wit split offset an snugs

i run 46 normal all game, every play. best formation in the game. almost always hold somebody to one TD on O. theres no need to run anything else. i run it vs 2 RB 2 TE 1 WR or 5 wide. and i will stop whatever you run. snugs flip is soft and overrated, easly stoped with a few purples. i can run it against anything and do what i want with you

and thats not even throwing in 46 bear lol

Use multiple D. Best playbook in the game. You get the 46 and 3-4... That's all you need trust me. My defense consists of 3 plays. 46 inside blitz, 46 cover 1, and 3-4 cover 2 man. I just figured out what offense and defense PB's to use for the Panthers today.

Det offense PB. Multiple D PB.

Outscored my last 2 opponents 93-14.

1st game. Guy was 2 lvls below me and I won 45-14. He was Broncos.

2nd game. Guy was 1 lvl ahead of me and I won 48-0. He was the Pats.

So I'd say the two plays I got out of the 46 and one play I got out of the 3-4 worked pretty well.

If y'all got any questions as to how I set up these plays just holler at me.

p.s. It also depends on what teams your using... Bcuz different PB's fit different teams better. It also depends on how you scheme as well.

haha personally i like TEN defensive PB cuz of the 4-4 split, and ive always used a 4-3 so the PB transition wasnt hard at all. lol love the 4-4 split against the run. gotta be carefull though coverage isnt the best with one high saftey, but i ocasionally will run it against 3 WR sets, but none the less it gets the job done for me! as for the 46 though i used to run with PHI's PB so i had the 46 formation and loved it! im deffinetly on the 46 users side of this coversation. lol

I'm telling you guys just use the Multiple Defense. You'll be glad you have the 46 and 3-4 at your disposal

I would argue that against anyone with a pulse, you can't play in the 3-4 or 4-3 every single down, either.

With that said, I'm a big fan of the 46, and not a big fan of the 3-4. The 3-4 is just soft against the run.

I used this at first, but you don't get the 46 Bear in Multiple D.

I am quite loyal to the 46 compared to multi D even for the 3-4 teams ex Cards. I just re depth chart them to fit my scheme. SD, Jets, Denver, Steelers, 49ers and particulary Dallas are all BEAST 46. I have never taken the time to get into 3-4 since I started playing madden years ago.

I'm telling you, you don't even need bear. I used the multiple D in all 3 games I played yesterday... I played against Denver, NE, and the Vikes...

Denver = 4 rushing yards

NE = 0 rushing yards

Vikes = 1 rushing yards

I guess whatever works for you tho.

Well Baltimore and NYJ gets your the 4-6 normal and 3-4. The best 4-3 playbook is easily Chicago though.
