| I use the Cowboys and I run the offense with the Arizona PB and the defense with Cleveland.
On offense I use goalline as my main running formation Substitute Doug Free at the third tight end position Run the HB Dive or FB Dive Motion Doug Free into the AGap then hike the ball Excellent play with Barber Once they start to bite on that play run the Power O with Barber Then substitute Jones in and run the Power O and the HB Toss When they start dropping 8 in the box run PA Power O to the Fullback or HB Toss If they Nano all the time keep shoving it down their throat with opposite side HB Dive and FB Dive and motion Doug Free into the teeth of their Nano Keep subbing in fresh backs with Barber and Choice for the inside work and Jones and Choice for the outside stuff
For passing I run the Split Gun my favorite play is 689 hook, put Austin as #3 reciever Williams at 2 and ogletree at one. Use right stick to select TE Backfield to put Witten and Barber behind center
My favorite setup for 689 hook is: Left side Wideout on inside slant HB on a Streak Slot Reciever on Smart Route
The first thing you want to learn when running this play is the linebacker read at the snap. If the linebacker runs past the slot reciever to pick up Witten then hit the slot reciever real quick. if the Linebacker picks up the slot reciever then hit Witten.
The next read you want to learn is the CB read on the same side if they jam you up with a corner a safety and a linebacker on the right side. Look for the halfback streak or the inside slant on the left side
The next read you want to learn is the HB Streak, watch for Barbar to get smoothly through the line and just past the linebackers but before the safety depth. If he gets through nicely hit him up at 6-8 yard depth and try to break a tackle for a nice gain.
Remember your dumpoff is Witten on the flat if you ever get in trouble. If he breaks a tackle he is good for a first down on that check down dumpoff.
Another thing I have learned to read is shoulder pad leverage on press coverage. If Williams gets just a little inside leverage with his shoulders against his man then throw him the ball, he will seperate for the catch.
Once you got them thinking pass and they drop everybody into coverage run the HB Offtackle in the same formation, Split Gun.
I know everyone has a different way to read the defense and they are good, but this way is just the simplest and quickest I know. And it works.
I swear to you brother, you learn these two formations with the Cowboys and you will never be pushed around again.
A Few Tips: I come out in goalline first so I can wear out and tire the defense first to soften them up. Then the Split Gun.
There are other plays in the Split Gun that are effective but if you learn how to run the 689 hook first. They will come to you automatically
Remember the basics, call plays according to Down and Distance and be confident in their execution. That confidence comes from practice.

| thanks for that info capncrunch. i went home and tried those plays, it was very effective. i have yet to take them online but i will soon and give it a try. i would think that goaline sets are similar for all the playbooks so im going to try it with the playbook i normally use (NE) so i can also have the pass plays i love to use. thanks again for the info | |

| There are only a few goalline playbooks with the HB Toss which is great with Jones. That is why I use AZ. Other than that they are a lot alike.
I have yet to find a playbook that does not have the 689 hook
