COVER 2 DEFENSE

IS COVER 2 DEFENSE GOOD FOR THE MIAMI DOLPHINS...?

i LOVE COVER 2, I play alot of it and yes I think i would be good for Miami as well as any team. You have to be aware of your weakness just like anything else. And you know where it is, so does the offense. Sometimes I willuse this to my advantage. Usering a LB tolurk the middle while still paying attention to the middle of the field is one way to address the weakness. Another thing I like to do is put my corners in buzz. I will sill call press.What this does is that it allows me to get a little more depth with my corners in buzz because that is where there is a soft spot. Cover 2 is a great defense if you know how to use it. Great against the run, great for pressing with corners, and also very effective for tosses because corners are right there playing agressive on LOS.

You can beat a cover two with a route that runs on the sideline over the cornerback but below the safety. The cover two is predicated on the linemen getting to the QB before the receiver has a chance to get past the bump into this zone.

Use cover2 as a nice base play to stop the tight end or the underneath routes. Beware of the deep passes.

Use Cover 2 inside your RedZone. There is no threat of being beat deep inside your RedZone.

Cover 3 = Inside Your 45 Yard line.

Man Coverage for anything deeper.


Madden defense is all about slowly snaking your opponent inside your RedZone and squeezing. You can't give up big plays.

Cover 2 has its positives and its negatives just like any defense. but if you run it all the time your opponent will figure you out and exploit you everytime they see cover 2. (if theyre smart enough to realize it)

if you want to learn wat suits your team try playing basic coverages: Cover 1,2,3 Man & Zone and adjust from there. if something is not working against a repetitive opponent SWITCH YOUR PLAYCALLING! If your opponent audibles; highly consider the option of audibling too... because they will take advantage of your precalled defense.
