Help with passing to the flats/running with the ball

Ok, so I am a fairly new player but everyone now and then when i throw a pass to the running back in the flats or i throw a screen and i somehow cause the ball carrier to do a weird jab step that slows him down and causes me to lose the opportunity to get the yardage I could have possibly had. Anyway to fix this habit?

ive noticed this weird animation too. I think its from pressing turbo button as u catch it so my advice would be catch it, start running upfield, then press turbo. this will also increase ur chances of catching the ball cuz sometimes if u press turbo as the cpu is catch it it goes right through ur hands

On the screen don't throw it before they set throw it after. Throw flat routs lead pass them a bit. Plus what "mg" told you.

It is a juke animation. You can make it happen by letting off the stick when running. Get on the stick quicker after the catch.
