Can going to the shoutgun sets open up my passing and running game?

Just a simple question can going to the shoutgun early in the game open up your offense especialy the running game. Right now i seem to be in a offense rut and i was just thinking about trying this out to see if it might work or might not. I am seeing a lot of pressure being put on my offense and im not getting good time to make my reads down the field. I am a short pass attack player sort of like the westcoast offense. Lately i get alot of agressive bump and run being play against me this trying to throw me off my groove with my offense. My run game is decent but it to can improve. So im asking do you think the concept of comming out in shoutgun can open things up or will it give the defense a way to audble to a pass defense and still be ready for my air attack. As you can see i do need help on this matter anyone care to speak on this then the floor is yours and THANKS ALC
