Slant Plays

Does anybody know what is the best defense for stopping slants across the middle??? Is it Cover 2? Ive been getting beat by those damn quick slants haha

i use quick slants sometimes when theres only on lb over the middle its usually money but when i see two and espaecially three lbs i audible out go with someting out the 3-4 dont get beat on the sidelines though

if its right over the middle...cover 1

bump and run highlight the slot guy or TE (who ever is gettin open on u)

there should be lb in zone waiting for him and ur bumping to give pass rush the time to make the qb throw early

i have trouble covering slants over the middle myself especially witten going over middle with a slant or even a streak is there any other defenses you can suggest outta the 3-4 that can stop it

i do man and bump and run and then control the defensive end into coverage over the middle
