can u playmaker in this madden?

how do u use this i have played ppl how have made ppl close to him change and run to a area thats open..i used it last yr but not seen how to do it this yr

What does playmaker do? I saw it in the instructions but how does it work? Do you click on a WR do the L2/Right stick Click before the snap?
