Bears look to bring back Playoffs to Chicago where in 06 they went 2-0 at home.
The Bears will return to the Playoffs for the first time since 2006

There is a new atmosphere in the Bears locker room now that the season is over. They just want to do one thing and that is win, thats there new moto as of now is two words "Keep Winning". If they keep playing the way they have been i see it being a hard task to stop this team. Mainly its Defense the Bears D has been lights out as of the last couple weeks of the season they are 5th in Points Against, 1st in Interceptions, and 1st in Sacks a stat that killed them last year. "Were getting to the Quarterback thats the most important thing it all starts with pressure if your letting a Quarterback sit in the pocket for 4, 5, or 6 seconds your not gonna win too many football games". Coach Smith said. Since Smith has taken over the Defensive play calling the Bears look like a totaly different team then they did a year ago when they struggled alot of the time. The Offense is playing well too. "Everything seems to be clicking right now this is a good team we knew it since training camp alot of people doubted us but this is no surprize we knew all along we could be this good". Hester said. There is one person though on the team who feels like a kid in a cand store and that is Jay Cutler. "Its just great to have finaly gotten over this hump iv never been to the Playoffs this is a new ball game now this is the time we need to focus and play the best football that we can". Cutler said. Good advice as long as they have that mind set focus and play the best football they can its gonna be exciting to see how far this team can really go this year.

They finished with an 11-5 record and as of now are in 1st place in the NFC. They already are NFC North Champs something they also havent been since 2006. But there not satisfied with that they want more. "Our goal every year is to be NFC North champs and that is important to us but now that we already have obtained that we want more than just that". Smith said. There are only 4 teams left that have 4 losses as it looks now the Bears will have Home Field in the Playoffs unless one of the 4 loss teams runs the tables and goes undefeated the rest of the season or a 5 loss team wins out and in the season had beat the Bears. Right now you have to like there chances though on Home Field. Even if they dont get it they are in a good spot to still have there first Playoff game at Home.

Urlacher sure did put up DPOTY award numbers. He finishes the season with a league high 11 INTs, 3 FF, 2 TDs, and 5 Sacks. These are his best numbers since he last won the award in 2005 when the Bears went to the Playoffs also. Cutler did good also racking up 2379 YDs, 34 TDs and 155 Completions. Olsen broke out this year snagging 47 receptions on his way to 797 YDs and 15 TDs. Hester didnt do bad either collecting 8 recieving tochdowns him self.

Will keep you updated throughout the Playoffs as the Bears try and advance to the Super Bowl for the second time in 2nd time in 4 years.
