Jetpack?... Rocket Catch?... (man I'm a noob)

well... I am certainly new to playing madden online, and I have been noticing many people on here mention "Jetpack to "X" receiver" or "rocket catch to "Y" receiver"...

My questions are:

1. What is a jetpack catch?
2. What is a rocket catch
3. are these glitches?
4. How do you jetpack throw/catch and how do you rocket catch?

click on search and put in rocket catch abunch of tread will pull up on how to do it .....but its just when u jump higher than the other person and get the ball kinda

what about jetpack? I hear alot of people saying to jetpack to the TE etc...

Same thing basically. Its basically when u get mad ups a nd go up and get the all from the defenders. Its suppose to be tuned down this year but only thing different is that the receivers have trouble holding on to the ball. Jus go to youtube and type in Rocket Catch and ull see what it is.

right on. I appreciate it guys. and last thing... Should I attempt to learn how to do these things or are they frowned upon in online play... (and can it be done in offline games... ie: against my buddy at home?)

hey rocket catching is tough this yr. the strafe button on offense is hidden.(there is one way to strafe tho on offense) but the button to strafe makes it tough pulling out the rocket catch. i dont use either, but if you can perfect it, def use it on ur buddies at home. in all honesty it gets boring. i like strategizing and winning the game like a real fb game
