Steve Smith Sent Home

Steve Smith and Ken Lucas got into a fight at training camp on Aug 1st. resulting in Smith socking Lucas in the face. Lucas had to be carried off in a cart and smith was sent home. There is no word as to when or if Smith will get suspended or not.

he will get suspended they just dnt knw how long. also that is dumb he is a grown man stop fighting n grow up. try to put that energy into winning a superbowl.

fights in trainin camp is wat coaches want...wen i played if there wasnt a fight they thought we didnt want it...but throwing blows is another story...yelling wrestling pushing is good all agression competition but hurting someone is crossing the line....i dont believe he will be suspended if he is not very long...put it this way, he will be at opening day believe dat ...they cant afford to not have him every game they cant afford a loss.

Steve Smith puts more effort into the game than most players on the Panthers. The guy is a beast @ 5 9 he plays bigger than most wrs. True he should get control of himself with the fighting, but who knows what led to it. I don't know if any of you had to go thru two a days in the heat, but that is a time when tempers run high and it is easy to get into something like that.

yea i kno that first hand 2 a days is no joke not 1 put lifting and running all day in mid summer tempers do flare up REAL QUICK

Exactly. I got into a few shoving matches during two a days. Its hot and you don't want to be bothered with anyone, but it never fails, always have that one guy who overdoes it. Buddah, what team do you play with? Let me know if youneed any signatures

yo this happens every year in football. Hell week's bout to come up (which means 2 a days) and i guarantee that there will be a fight everyday. Alot of it also deals with dehydration. Sum loss of water can really make people flip out. Fights are common, its up to the coaches to deal with the situation and im sure that the panthers staff will do exactly that

This is the 2nd time Steve Smith did this. He socked some rookie wr in the eye and fractured his eye socket like two or three years ago

Man! 2-games... will this mean the panther start the season 0-2, I mean, I know he's not the team but he is a big part of the offense.

Well will Steve Smith being suspended for two games. This will give us a good look at the starting WR for the next two games and we will see what the got and how the Panthers offensive are gonna play without their Role player.

yo i hope this whole situation with steve smith makes the panthers do really bad this season, since the panters traded their 1st rd pick to the eagles for 09.
