the pats traded seymour to the raiders for an 1st round pick in 2011 draft!!!!!!

really dats a nice pick up for the raiders now there D ends are Greg ellis and richard seymour dats pretty damn good GOOD s*** RAIDERS!!!! im so proud of them lol

Raiders are tired of winning 4 games and paying big $$$ to 1st rd busts...I actually like the trade you get a proven player even though he is older and you dont have to give $30 million in guarantees to a 1st rd pick that you have no idea if he is even going to be good enough to be a starter in 3 years.

i think he will play DT for them

i'm not sure what seymour will play over there...but i really think it was a good move for the raiders to address their defensive problem...they already have great LB's in kirk and thomas howard...they needed to address the line, and they did...who gives a s*** if they gave up a first round pick for the 2011 draft..they figure they won't need that, cause they feel like they will be a better team by then, and figure the raiders d will be better.

I don't see that first rounder being a top 5 pick. Maybe top 10.

Like I said in another thread, 8-8 is very possible for this team.

the raiders came out dumb in the end cause seymour is 29 and was on the last year of his deal.... and they traded a first round.... the patriots constantly make an ass out of the raiders in all things draft wise...regardless of wat pick it was... its still a first round for a guy with 1 year left on the deal.... i mean they could have just waited for a year and got him AND a rookie who could impact the team

It's a win now move, this may make the Raiders look good. I honestly can see it working if they make him a DE.

he has the versatility to play DE but i think he will move inside with them releasing terdell and things of that nature and they got ellis and that guy they like at DE

That Raiders defense looks like they'll keep them in a lot of games.

I think its a good move on th parts.. NE is stacked on the Dline and needed to free up money to sign vince wilfork long term and the raiders get a dlineman who can play DT or DE.. He's played DE his entire NFL career but he's a run stopper who can play DT.. The pats get a first rounder which belichick always loves draft picks.. I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually traded that pick for 2 2nd round picks cuz he's not big on 1st rounders some years depending on the draft class.. I don't know how the raiders plan on using him but however they do it will work out for them if they get him re-signed..

Probably jarvis green.. He gets quite a bit of playing time already with seymour there cuz belichick keeps fresh legs on the field and green plays special teams as well. He's no probowl lineman but he can hold his own.

He's decent from what I've seen. Richard Seymour was always a very underrated part of the New England Patriots, that may hurt you guys at times.

The Raiders won't be world beaters by any means, but they're a lot better than they have been in a long time.

damn well while im happy we got a DE i was hopin we would draft taylor mays next year....

I'm sure Oakland will get a first rounder again...Al Davis loves draft picks.

New England's window for winning is somewhat closing, but they'll be alright. Should challenge Miami for the East regardless.

I've learned to trust belichick with every move he makes.. I don't know if anyone in the afc east will be above .500 besides NE.. Miami is the 2nd best team in the division... I don't think our window for winning is closing at all.. LBs getting younger each year, our safeties are both young, dline is relatively young and our offence is still as sick as it was 2 years ago.. The entire afc east took advantage of extremely weak schedules last year including the pats, that's why cassel went 11-5 but still hasn't had a win vs a playoff team.. This year however the east has some tough schedules.. I think miami and NE are the only teams good enough to sustain how well they played last year..

y the hell didnt belichick ship him to the bears . man tommie harris needs help. but i feel raiders will waste his talent like they r doing with aso the cornerback. but maybe the d will win them games this yr.
