definitely bunch formations and flood plays. I used to get killed by zone till last year when I started running Gun Bunch TE plays, and learned how to make quick reads in practice mode.
Check the flat, look to the corner, go to the curl, etc.
An example of a flood, or zone buster combo is Gun Bunch TE - Z Spot (in Indy pb and Det pb, possibly others). There are a lot of Z-spot plays in different formations, so you can stay in your current book and try one.
You have a flat route, a corner route and a slant/curl or spot route. One of those 3 will be open against just about any zone coverage. Against man, you treat the spot route like a slant. Throw and pass lead before the WR makes his curl stop.
Read the flat, then either check the spot, and then the corner or vice versa. This won't get you 20 yards a pop, but 4-8 with the occasional 20 yard corner is pretty good. Plus it frustrates your opponent and opens up other routes.
Some of these plays have automotion which is pretty good. As it gives you an immediate knowledge of whether the D is man or zone thus changing your read progressions. (ie against man, you look to the spot route first)
