cover 2, 3, or 4??

Ok so every year people tend to have a zone coverage they base their D out of... In madden 08 cover 2 was huge.. Madden 09 cover 3 and cover 4 seemed to be the base D for most people...which one will be big in 10? I tend to think cover 3 or 4 will stay the base of zone coverages in 10 but if cover 2 is fixed it could return as everyones favorite zone coverage.

I use mostly either cover 3 or cover 1.

idk i think cover 2 will b a lot better than in 09.. now on longer streaks, the passes r more lobbed instead of bullets.. that will give the safeties more time to react and knock the ball down.. thats y it wasnt so effective in 09.. ppl just hit streaks along the sidelines on it

haha, don't mess with zone this year unless you have LB's who can play it well. The WR's running the slot posts murder those hook zones, and the QB doesn't overthrow into the deep 2B zone either, so you get an easy 15 yards on those. If I play zone, it'll definitely be a cover 2 because it's looking tuff, but it'll be a blitz.

I blitz every play anyways.

yea right now im likin man coverages and zones that cover a lot of short stuff.. u need a lot less deep coverage cuz longer balls r lobbed more like i said.. cover 2 will work alot less than cover 3 or 4 IMO unless its 3rd or 4th and 10+

I have my blitzing down. Depending on how the commit feature is used, my blitzing will either be good, or it will be outrageous.

My nickel 3-3-5 defense is MURDAAAA better watch those corners on the outside .

So david I'm guessing ur 3-3-5 u play means ur a cover 3 guy.

depends on my opponent i blitz my outside linebackers and corners alot but if i see hes doing a short passing game cover 2 stops it and if he has a deep threat and over the miiddle i either play man and user the safety or try to sack him before he can throw. cover 3 is too easy to pick apart and everyone uses it .

man blitz plays will be mosts ppls main defense but as far as zone goes im going to play cover 2 with my colts and user the lb to control the middle with good pressure off the end by freeney and mathis

Yea when I played with the colts last year I realized how easy it was to get preasure with them cuz freeney and mathis did it by themselves.. As far as for what cj said about when u play zones it better be a blitz this year, that's not a problem for me cuz I blitz every play anyways.

Thank god they fixed man coverage, it would be a zone play every play in 09 unless you wanted to get burned on a simple pass play

yeah blitzing is gonna be a must when you run a zone because if not you'll get picked apart

I picked apart zone coverage in 09.. Sounds like zone hasn't changed!! At the end of last year man coverage gave me more problems then zone.. I beat both but when someone ran man to man in09 it was catching me off guard sometimes cuz most people sat in cover 3 and 4 all day..

i think many people will use man alot

form what ive seen in the demo cover 2 has been the best because it is harder to pass deep. i think the best defejnse this year will be man blitzes and man zone. i am liking a man zone with a couple yellow and purples and about 3 guys rushin. this year is gonna be the fag d year man coverage fag d hard to pass on
