Need Help With Some Plays

Hey I wondering,


If a person on D is calling a Goal Line Defense....what would be the best plays to run on offense?

Correct me if I am wrong but I think if a person is running a Goal Line D then pass plays should get decent yardage. There is only a limited amount covering but I am no expert so probably should wait for someone actually good at madden.

Depends on the type of goal line D being played. There are a couple of zones in goal line D that work ok. Also depends on where you are at on the field. Goal line was meant for 10 yards and in.

Typically in a goal line D you have a bunch of linemen and few DB's, so streaks would work great against it if you can get the protection. Screens would work good as well. You could also try sweep running plays and if you can get around the corner past the defensive line, chances are you will have a big gain.

HB Tosses, screens, deep throws.

Or anything with 4 or more routes run, as the defense will only have three guys covering probably.

Very original solution Fudopi, where would you ever get those ideas from?

What am I supposed to tell him? Something that won't work just to be different?

wut i do is suprise them and call a shot over the middle wit the te, and they will mess up allot if u call a screen, u also will have that option

I have seen that haappen and I tried it out a few times. WOrk pretty good. Calling the shot and having the TE go in then out and I throw to his outside edge and usually it a catch and some good yardage after.

One of the things I've been dabbling with on that type of scenario... cause you have SO little time... is to hot route the backs (if you have any) to pass block. The idea would be like a max-protect scheme. Sometimes they just stand there, but what the heck. This might give you some time to do what the other guys suggested (mostly Fudopi )... as for me, I haven't got enough time to do much of anything, and on the Wii - online, you've only got your lob pass to count on which IMO eliminates things like the quick slants, designed to beat a blitz.

You can throw bullets online for 10 yards or shorter.....lobs are like 12 yards or more

offline you can throw bullets deep if you the correct motion

MaddenKing57 - I was dabbling with all the screens today, there's a lot that I kind of clump into the same type. Obviously, they're each different.

What do you think the best screen is?

Honestly, I'm excited to be in *a* league, but so far all I'm doing is signing up on message boards and picking teams...

The screen play in shogun with 1 running back is the one I would use but put that in your audible package so when u audible in to that formation, even if they audible in a base defense their linebackers will be in safety postions and their reserve D-lineman will be in linebacker positons meaning their there defense is alot slower with speed and you will burn them all day especially if you have RB's like Felix Jones L.T. or Adrian Peterson
