3-4 pass rush

When I'm playing for teams using 3-4, my OLBs are not so effective in pass rush even they are stars (like Suggs, Merriman, Ware), DE's have more sacks, then OLB's. Why?

Try to get them one on one with the running back. They should blow right past them. Set up outside heat or a gap heat so they don't get picked up by the line.

try shifting your D-line to the side you want to get the one on one.

Most people will overload one side of the line to get quick pressure.
