This is HOW YOU ROCKET CATCH 2.0

I made a post for this before the precision patch.. Now this is how its done today...
If you already know how then please dont trash my post just be an adult and move on.. credit to madden360, i saw him with R stick catching first..

The most important thing for RC is your WR height and CIT (catch in traffic).. You want your CIT to be 80 ... As far as height the rule is the taller you are the better.. But you can RC with 6'0 anything under is not advantageous. I use Jermichael Finley 6'5 247.. BEAST

The next important thing is route selection.. Once your good at RC you just pic your opponent apart based on his defense and you select your RC route... Slant to the sideline is the most deadliest.. Fade is good vs Deep Blue zones along sideline.. For beginners use the slant to sideline and practice vs a simple cover 3 from 3-4.. Then work your way up etc...

Steps

1. Send WR on desired route (slant to sideline)..

2. When ball is hiked wait for WR to get 10 yds up field then throw a bullet pass to the sideline...

3. Click on WR and then use RIGHT THUMBSTICK.. Move the right stick down and towards the inside of the field.. This will give you RC animation and you will catch the ball...


Practice this become comfortable using right stick to catch.. TIMING IS THE KEY (if your early your WR will just run in weird circle).. GET YOUR TIMING DOWN..

Once you get timing down the real fun begins you can do the "Rain Man", Jump Balls, Triple Coverage... Very funny to Bomb it up.. Click on WR and just moss 5 people..... hahahhaha

doesn't moving the LS in the same directions u push on the pad do the same as the pad?

Is Dis Da Same On PS3?

yeah its the same on PS3 obviously the button icons are different but the controler layout is basically the same..... same angles on the d-pad/sticks.... great post bro

i don't understand the point of the d-pad? you didn't mention it at all

you do not need the d pad ever. if you would like i believe you can use that instead of the leftstick, i never have cause its an odd shift for my fingers the other way feels more normal. and this is a good guide one of my favorites that ive seen should help lots of people =).

What is the precision patch, what did it do? Also you guys always use the thumb stick to catch? I've always been using (Y) ?

when do you use the right stick.. when the ball gets close or immediately after you start controlling the reciever.. most of the time my guy doesnt turn and jump he just tries to catch it over his shoulder

why d pad? o use the left stick as im passing. Is their a difference?

i am not trying to be a jerk, but these tutorial lack alot of info.
these are the question you should try to answer in your post.

what should i do with the left stick?
do i need to use the left stick to catch the ball?
which direction should i push the left stick when i am passing the ball?
am i going to push down on left and right to get the rocket catch animation?
which direction should i push the right to when i try to catch the ball?
when should i push the right stick?

i know how to rc, but these are question alot of newb would ask you.

just look at my video in the "rocket catch with every team thread' and it will give u a good idea and answer all these questions. did it the same way everytime so i could easily explain what i did. When i threw the ball i pulled right on the left stick and threw a hard bullet pass......then when i switched to the WR I pulled down and left on the right stick (towards the qb), and when you see him start his stutter steps thats when it was pulled.
