Need help running

I use the vikings on ps3 and with peterson I can only get about 30 yards a game on 30 carries. on ps2 I averaged 200 yards a game. I do slide protection but maybe I'm doing it wrong on ps3 this is my first year of madden on ps3 someone please help!

runing is a art...it takes practice i recommend the virtual trainner over and over again it helps alot...with AP u dont have to hold down the sprint button...find the whole get to the hole and break in and out of tackles by keep hitting that hit stick or spint move to open the space...pickin the hole is the key tho.

Before you get the hands off , reads what you defensive is giving up and when the play is developing like BigBuddah said pick the right hole and then hit it also look for your cutback lane also. But VT will help alot.

I never hold the sprint button unless my player is wide open. Always use the juke or truck stick (Without holding the sprint button) if you are bout to make contact with a defender.

Plays that get a lot of yards: Draws out of the shotgun, stretch plays, and FB dives.

yeah those are some good plays

if you practice on virtual trainer u will get better

look for the whole and burst through it
