To Blitz, or Not to Blitz Arrow3Start out by sending heat after your opponent. See if he can deal with it.
To Blitz, or Not to Blitz Arrow3If he can't deal with it, then feel free to punish him all game long with your favorite blitz schemes.
To Blitz, or Not to Blitz Arrow3If he is able to handle your pressure, see where he goes with the ball. Most players have tendencies that you can pick up on. Does he immediately hit the flats? Does he throw seam routes with the TE?
To Blitz, or Not to Blitz Arrow3Now send heat but use a defensive hot route or manually control a player to take away his usual hot read.
To Blitz, or Not to Blitz Arrow3If he shows the ability to exploit your blitzes in different ways, then it is time to mix in some coverage packages. We have found that if you set up a coverage defense that looks the same as your blitz packages, you can often induce a quick throw by the QB right into the teeth of your defense.
