3 is Company but 2 is a Show Cutler and Olsen Have Break Out Game
Week 10 turned out to be a coming out party for a couple of rumored off feild best friends in Jay Cutler and Greg Olsen. Since Cutlers arrival in Chicago numerous spottings of the two have been seen frequently trying to gain a early edge as they look to be one of the more feared passing duos in the NFL. Cutler put up Pro Bowl numbers going 12 of 19 for 201 YDs 4 TDs and 0 INTs on his way to a stellar 138.4 QB Rating. (He now leads the League with 6 TDs Passing). Olsen on the other hand went off catching 6 balls for 102 YDs and a jaw droping 4 TD Catches (Also League Leading Stat 4 TDs Receiving). Makeing him only one shy of the NFL Record for most TD Catches in a Single Game. Not much to say about the 49ers who most impressive stat maybe the 4 total sacks they obtained on the Bears O-Line 2 coming from All Pro MLB Patrick Willis. Notable Stat also was Brandon Jones catching 3 balls for 85 YDs and scoring 1 TD.
Bottom Line: You cant win a game in the NFL if you cant run the ball they say so hows this for impressive. Chicago held Frank Gore to 0 yards rushing the whole game. There leading rusher was QB Shaun Hill who gained 9 YDS on 3 ATT. The defense was flying all over Getting 4 total turnovers 3 coming via the Interception (3 INTs Leads the League) and the 4th on a Crushing hit from MLB Brian Urlacher on QB Shaun Hill in the 1st Quarter that DT Tommie Harris would recover. Maybe that hit had reason for Hills terrible 56.2 QB Rating and 3 Interception performance while going 13 of 24 for 200 YDs and 1 Td. For the most part the 49ers were never comfortable playing the whole game from behind and never really getting in sync at all. Chicago would score after every turnover as well to put up 24 points off turnovers.
Final From San Francisco: Chicago Bears 31 San Francisco 49ers 18
