how to beat nano's

ive posted this in reply to many ppls question on how to beat nano's.now im just gonna post it in general.most ppl will say shotgun 2 back sets and keep ur backs in to block.it gives u more time and gives u max protection.this works ok but theres a better way.SINGLE BACK FORMATION WITH T.E'S ON EACH END OF THE LINE...heres the reasons why this formation works...

1...if u keep a t.e. in to block the line blocks different.its much harder for the blitzing l.b's to get through so fast

2...u can run off tackle for big gains right around the blitzing l.b's

3...u can send ur t.e's on streak routes and just pop a bullet pass right over the blitzing l.b's to ur t.e. for a big gain.

4...u can slide ur protection and roll out for a big pass play.

5...alot will say hurry to the line and snap the ball b4 he gets his nano set up but thats hard to do in this years game.for me...i wait and let him set it up so i know theres a possibility its comming (he could be faking it)when i snap the ball i see if the l.b's r comming.if they are i do 1 of the first 4 steps.if not i run my regular play.

alltho nothing is guaranteed against nano's this works the best against em.just like a good def player will mix it up by using and faking nanos...a good off player needs to mix it up as well.for the record i dont think nanos are cheese.they do it in the real nfl.its never easy to beat nanos but for me this is the best way.

i played a guy yesterday who was 27-2.all he did were nanos.i used this formation and destroyed him.i had him 17-0 in the middle of the 2nd quarter and he retreated back into fag d.thats when i knew the game was over.i had a huge off tackle run and a 60 yrd td pass by using this strategy.at halftime he quit.most nano players only know how to do nanos.once u beat em they fold up n quit.some may not agree with this strategy but it works for me.i hope this helps someone.

I never have to worry about nanos nowadays when using the west coast playbook. A great scheme involving pitches and quick passes to flats/over the middle WITH motion gets me great yards and literally forces every D I play to sit back in coverage because blitzing results in me getting big gains. I think I get sacked once every three games or so, and at most once a game when facing a Nano abuser. ( im a nano abuser myself, but im creative with my formations and defensive calls)
Once you get a big gain on a person who nanos, and then you do it again, they usually stop and try to adjust their game plan to whatever your doing.

But if your just a regular player, all the tips you gave should work wonders in beating nanos. I stil say a quick pass scheme is the best in beating nanos because the QB doesn't have the ball in his hands long enough to get sacked in the first place.

ghost, great post! Im with you, I like to be undercenter vs nanos, especially in singleback big packages like Jumbo etc...I have always done this. I go against some real nano monsters who try to bring heavy heat and have found that these formations are the best. I also like any of the 2 back I looks as well. Dont try to run from nanos by getting into the gun and trying to hide, this is where you get into trouble. Guys think they have to jump into the gun and play this the whole game. No defense is going to dictate what I am going to run, I CAN PROMISE YOU THAT!
