Does anyone know to prevent the "pausing the game cheat"

i got a question for all the madden ppl out there....3 times when i have played, iam about to win the game and the opponent online presses start and keeps the time clock from counting down, so we stay in the start menu where im pressing start to resume the game or count down, but it never starts, can anyone help me with this...i stayed in the start menu 45 minutes and the clock never started...and all u can do is quit or ask for a friendly quit....does anyone know how to get the clock to start again when the opponent cheats like this....oh, yea and i pressed timeout which sr-tarts the game back up but then the opponent jus presses it again, and then im not able to call timeout to start the game back....does anyone know anything?

Should resume after 30seconds. Never had it not resume. If he keeps doing it he will be booted.

yea man, thats what i thought, but i asked him how he did it, and he said when he pressed start to pause the game, he hits the start and x button quickly and he said it freezes his screen and leaves the opponent assed out to either friendly quit or just quit the game...and the clock never starts ticking down again, i waited like 30 minutes b4 i was jus like forget it and quit....its some bs!

I have actually had this happen to me and when it does I have no menu to resume or friendly quit the game and sometimes the other person doesnt either i noticed it seems to happen if both people resume the game at the same time or quickly pause after an un pause this happened to me and my cousin about 4 times one night as we both have kids and had to pause alot

(im shouting) when someone pause's the game u wanna put the clock on how do u do it we'll u simply resume game and leave it there for 24 seconds and it should resume if it dosen't work then u probably canceled the resume game let me break it down for ya'll WHEN THE GAME GETS PAUSED GO TO RESUME GAME AND IT WOULD SAY CANCEL RESUME GAME DONT DO IT JUST LEAVE IT THERE FOR 24 SECONDS AND IT WILL RESUME U CANT SEE THE CLOCK BUT YOUR OPPONENT CAN AS SOON AS U GO TO RESUME GAME (WHEN IT IS PAUSED) THE CLOCK STARTS RIGHT AWAY JUST COUNT 24 SECONDS AND IT WILL RESUME incase u dont baleive me when u start a game and some pauses it right away to fix their roster just resume game and leave it there its bound to work because thats why resume game is there on the pause menu !

yea but the other guys does something after he pushes start to disconnect you from the game. nothing to do with him changing depth charts or audibles. a guy i played pressed start in the two minute warning of the 4th when i was way up. i pushed start to resume play and after about 4 seconds ticked away, i received a message window appeared stating 'i lost my connection to my peer'. the game never even got logged as a loss or win or d/c, like if we had never played. i wrote him asking why he had to cheat and that he's a bum and he simply replies with, 'k'. wtf is that sh!t?

i second that bro iv had the same thing happen its like a fcukin glitch they pause when they no they cant win and hav us both disconnected i message the fag he reckons he was substituting hahahahahhaha fcukin bulshit and the kunt sez GOD BLESS U hahahahahaha so im thinkin it is a glitch

I havent had this happen to me yet, but in the previous couple of years editions of madden, you could simply call a time out fro the menu and it would jump back into the game.

Yeah, I just had this happen. Luckily I had a timeout left and that seemed to do it. Literally it was like 30 minutes of crap.

Man this happened to me the other day... I was destroying this chump 24-7 his name is CALMPLEXmusic... And then it was like 2 minutes left in the fourth. And I started playing around with my defense, and lets just say I blitzed my corners, linebackers, safeties... and he got the pass off and he scored.. Now its 24-13 and after he chose to kick the FG, As soon as I clicked "FG block" the game stayed frozen.. Game didnt count as a win or loss.

This is what i do.When he press start you probably press resume right away while hes doing the glitch.when he press start you wait 10 secs and then resume.someone tried to do it to me and you can see the 30 secs coming and going but he can only do it 5 times.when its over just resume.i dont know if its the same glitch or not but it works.

another one is if someone D-C at the end of the game and it says your opponent has quit and the coaches are shaking hands dont continue vs. CPU
all you do is quit and count game and it say you will receive and they give it to you.

Man, that's the ticket. Basically, resume before he has a chance to "offer friendly" and "cancel" and keep that cycle going. Good tip. Thanks.
