Madden 10 Free For All Tournament - PS3/360 (Date changed to 10/3 and rules updated)

A free for all in every sense! 64 ballers from both consoles will collide, every man for himself, in a free tournament with $50 for each winner. (Paid through paypal)

With all the support the new and old Madden School members have shown us by frequently posting, playing games, and purchasing our products, we have been able to put together this tournament as a token of our appreciation. On Saturday, October 3rd, 1:00 pm EST, our tournament will kick-off with 32 rounds on both consoles. This will be a single elimination tournament with MLG rules, and we will finish the same day, so please only sign-up if you are willing to go the distance in the tourney. We will be providing updates for the community during the tournament in our chatbox, so all members can keep up with who is winning and how. Sign-ups will end 10/3 at 11:00 am EST, and all entrants will be required to be at the site and have their first match-up ready to start at exactly 1:00 pm EST. If you fail to get your first round game started by 1:05 pm EST without contacting me first, you will be replaced by someone on the waiting list.

It's time to see who has put in the most work since the release of Madden 10, or who just has that natural ability to dominate. Sticks will be flying, feuds will brew, Madden will get played the way it was meant to be played, and who knows... somebody might break a controller.

Settings:

Quarter Length (early rounds) - 3 minutes
Quarter Length (last 3 rounds) - 4 minutes
Game Skill Level - All-Madden
Fatigue - On
Injuries - On
Weather - Off
Accelerated Clock - Off

Rules as formed by MLG, EA, and the Madden Federation, as found on http://www.mlgpro.com/easportschallenge/Games/Madden10:

1. Players may not edit the top five slots in their WR Depth Chart so
   that it includes a player whose primary position is a position other
   than WR or TE. Players may not edit the top two slots in their TE Depth
   Chart so that it includes a player whose primary position is a position
   other than TE, FB, RT, or LT. Players may not edit the top two slots in
   their DE or DT Depth Charts so that they include a player whose primary
   position is a position other than DE or DT. Players may not edit the
   top two slots in their ROLB, MLB, or LOLB Depth Charts so that they
   include a player whose primary position is a position other than ROLB,
   MLB, or LOLB. Players may not edit the top two slots in their CB, SS,
   or FS Depth Charts so that they include a player whose primary position
   is a position other than CB, SS or FS. Players will not be required to
   edit their team’s Default Depth Chart in order to comply with the WR,
   TE, DE, DT, ROLB, MLB, LOLB, CB, SS, or FS Depth Chart limitations.
   
2. Only position for position substitutions will be allowed with a few
   exceptions. Any WR or TE may be substituted for any WR. Any TE, FB, or
   Offensive Tackle may be substituted for any TE. Any Offensive Lineman
   (TE not included) may be substituted for any Offensive Lineman (TE not
   included). Any Defensive Lineman may be substituted for any Defensive
   Lineman. Any Linebacker may be substituted for any Linebacker. Any
   Defensive Back may be substituted for any Defensive Back. Despite these
   substitution limitations, Players will be allowed to use all packages
   available to them in the Package feature. There are no limitations on
   Special Teams substitutions.
   
3. Players found violating Gameplay Rule #1 or #2 will be given a
   Warning. Players who violate Gameplay Rule #1 or #2 a second time
   during the Online Regular Season Madden Tournament will Forfeit that
   Game. Any additional violations of these Gameplay Rules will result in
   additional Forfeits.
   
4. Players may not fake a Punt or Field Goal. Violators of this rule who gain yardage on the play will Forfeit the Game.
   
5. Before the ball is kicked in a Punt or Field Goal play, the Player
   on Defense may not intentionally press a button or move a joystick on
   their controller. Violators of this rule will Forfeit the Game if the
   Punt or Field Goal is blocked.
   
6. Players may not attempt an Onside Kick unless they are losing in
   the 4th Quarter. Violators of this rule who recover their Onside Kick
   will Forfeit the Game.
   
7. Players may not use a No huddle/Hurry-Up offense following an Incomplete Pass.
   
8. Players may not move a Running Back closer to the Quarterback before the Snap.
   
9. Players may not Audible out of the QB Kneel, Wildcat, Field Goal, or Punt offensive formations.
   
10. Players may not Audible Flip plays or send players in Motion in order to get an offensive player uncovered.
    
11. Violators of Gameplay Rule #7, #8, #9, or #10 should call a Timeout
    or take a Delay of Game Penalty before running a play. If a Player
    violates Gameplay Rule #7, #8, 9, or #10 and runs a play that gains
    yardage, they will Forfeit the Game.
    
12. In the shotgun formation no QB is allowed to sprint forward
    immediately after the snap and cross the line of scrimmage. The QB must take a step
    backward before any forward movement, side steps do not count.
    If this rule is broken then player must punt the ball on the next down. If the player refuses to heed the rules and the rule is proved to be broken by a saved highlight or recording of the game, the violator will be immediately removed from the tournament. This rule does no pertain to designed QB draws.

So we moved the tournament back a week so that everyone can play in both our tournament and the WorldGaming tournament, and we've added the rules found on the MLG site.

Just for early clarification, you can use motion and you may flip your play but not to perform a glitch in which the defender will not cover the receiver.

i got a question if some one is using bump and run can u motion so they cant bump u or no

yeah, the no motion rule ONLY relates to a specific glitch, and motioning in a normal manner just to avoid bump n run is totally fine.

i need u to explain that glitch to me in pm because i cant tell if its being done to me cause i dnt see wats going on off screen

The glitch they are talking about is the I-form big glitch where you motion the wr and the corner on the other side starts moving inside the linebackers leaving his side wide open for a toss or hb screen.
