Umenyiora, who missed all of last season with a knee injury, attended meetings in the morning at the team's headquarters. However, he left unexpectedly without talking to Coughlin and didn't return for the workout.

Umenyiora skipped practice after getting into a dispute with new defensive coordinator Bill Sheridan. Sheridan, the former linebackers coach who replaced Steve Spagnuolo as coordinator, reportedly criticized Umenyiora for making a mistake in Saturday's game against the Jets.

Osi is being a ******! A good coach corrects everyones mistakes and doesn't just let it slip cuz he's a vet!! He made a mistake and the coach let him know he wasn't happy and rightfully so!! Like vince lombardi once said "perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence." Great quote and how can u chase perfection or reach excellence if u don't let ur coach correct u?
