| Making open field tackles against a human opponent can be very hard.
Sometimes I will "click on" the nearest defender and then use sprint to get him into position and then "click off" and let the computer make the tackle. This allows me to get another defender into position.
Why do this? Because the computer is better at making open field tackles.

| if someone tries to user tackle me its like...look hes running at me. TD time.
In this game you don't even need to truck, juke, or stiffarm. All you have to do is make his defender drift towards one direction you are running, and then with turbo still held down just run to the opposite direction hes running and you go right by eveerytime. Cutbacks woohooo! | |

| i love when you finally catch up to someone running down the sideline and just hit stick them and have the screen shake! lol, more times than not though, he'll duck under and my guy goes flying into the sidelines. | |

| Strafing into the guy is the best bet. Not 100% of course but often hes is held up enough for some help to come. I use the strong saftey every play so when he's breaking I try to run like I'm going to cross his body and the strafe right as I get to him, he will either have to juke and slow down or break the tackle and slow down. With some practice you can start planting backs right in the dirt by using only the left trigger. It puts a smile on my face. | |
