How do you increase player ratings/attributes????

In past games you could increase player ratings through training and after certain weeks in the season, some players increase, sometimes decrease but I don't see any type of training to increase my player ratings in franchise mode and I'm almost through a full season and haven't seen any increase or decrease in ratings. Anyone know how to build a players attributes/ratings? Thanks

not sure if you can build up ratings anymore but i do remember hearing that at the end of the season players ratings will increase or decrease depending on age and what not. rather than years past when a 99 guy would be 99 for his entire career
