This is a good scheme to use if you can run out of the singleback formations.
1. Hb Slam- this is the main running play out of this scheme, slide protect according to the dline alignment(if you see the dline pinched, slide protect to the right. if there are set regular, dont slide protect at all unless you feel the need to).
2. X Option
Hot routes-
to a slant,
to a streak, and
to a drag
Aganist man the slant and drag will get open and the delay route by the RB will always get big yardage, cover 2 look for the the TE on the streak, aganist cover 3 the corner route by the 2nd tight end will get open but the slant will still be an option you just need to have a bit of timing.
3. Dual TE Flat
Hot routes-
to a fade,
to a in route
Aganist man the slant and the in route will get open, cover 2 look for the fade after he gets through the press, cover 3 you need to wait for the delay route by the RB cause the OLB in the yellow zone will back off to cover the slant and the RB will have room to operate.
4. TE Cross
Hot routes- none needed
Aganist man the TEs crossing will get open, cover 2 look for the streak after he gets bumped, cover 3 the crossing TEs will get daylight if you have time cause they will keep running towards the sideline and thats when you hit one of them.
5. Ace WR Stretch
Hot routes- none needed
Aganist man look for the TE running the wheel, cover 2 hit the reciever running the streak, cover 3 hit the te running the streak
Other good run plays in this formation:
HB Stretch- slide protect agressive
HB Pitch- slide protect to the side you are running to
HB Blunt Dive- slide protection realy isn't needed
