Playing in tournaments

so basically this year ima be hitting up some local tournaments and theyre gonna be my first madden tournaments . so im guessing since its not online everything will go smooth with no lag but is there anything else i should know ? When i choose my plays i know im not gonna show my play but do people actually show their play and the fake play as a strategy ?
Any tips about playing in tournaments would be helpful .

yea man its gon be weird at 1st but you'll get use to it dudes do be doing fake plays and some be trying to look at yo hands on the slide to see wat play u callin but its better than online no lag, the game gets done faster but u are gone have to deal with yo opponets mouth if he caps alot and the audience

david im countin on you to lemme know when these tourneys are happenin around san jose cuz there will be a few that i wont hear about

yeah david, make sure you bluff your play art, and when you pick a play from the play select screen, hold the button of the play you want, scroll around and then let go. that way you will have selected the play you started holding the button on, but ur opponent doesn't know which screen u chose ur play from.

other than that... people will talk s***. guys older than you will get in your ear, bark, and act like jackasses... let em. let em cap, u just do you and score touchdowns. thatll piss em off. and trust me, no matter what they say or how they say it, theyre not gonna do s***. so just piss em off! if a guy complains about a certain strategy you're using, KEEEEEP UUUUSING IT!!! people can play terrible when theyre mad.

Yea if you ever watched those madden challenges there be hella bitches on you.

You should bring your mom to scare them hos away.

Always fake what your doing because they will look at your stick / playcalling.

Making hot routes on a run play will make your opp worry :o

just play your game, when im playin in a tourney i usualy hear alot of mouth if i get to the final four, and as for the play art i dont even show mine, im always confident that i did the right thing it better to do it this way so when you realy want to bluff then you can with no problem

im right with you dude..this is my first tourny i am going to...but just dont let your opponent get to you..i am only 15 and i no i am going to be talkin so much s*** to those older guys that THINK they got game..im going to show them up..but some of these tips are going to help me

yea thnx to all yall.. im guna b younger than most too cuz im 16.. but imma still go, not get distracted by those bums.. imma just not make mistakes, play my game and take this bums.. and imma b cappin too tho bruh!! imma b wit my guys helpin me get buck!! and imma just go in confident in my game.. u cant b worried bout turnin the ball over and b too careful..

i was jsut going to start out all out..not letting up anything and not for anygame...like im going to try my fucking ass off for this s*** i dont care if i get matched up with some 5 year old..i jsut run up that damn score

honestly, if u kno they cant stop u and u got at least a 14 pt lead, y not run up the score? show everybody else what u got.. its kinda faggish but idc imma show these niggas im the real deal.. im not even goin in runnin the ball.. im comin out gunnin cuz i have sum good shotty plays and im confident they cant do nothin bout it..

whoa whoa whoa whoa... look I've been playin tourney's since I was 12 (madden challenge in St. Louis was my first one).

I'm 14 now.

And if there's 1 thing you DON'T want to do, that's run your mouth. Especially bein younger than those cats. I'll go entire games without sayin a word. Don't run your mouth, cause then you look like a cocky lil kid, don't even say s*** after you win. Always assume there's someone in the building better than you, but don't be under-confident. Don't even get all emotional an s***, if you up 21 don't get happy if you down 21 don't get mad.

well i mean also if u r a lil kid u got more of an excuse to b bad then anyone older.. if u 12 playin against a 21 year old and u beat em, u should b able to talk s*** after.. im not sayin use ur age as an excuse, thats not what im sayin at all.. but when u go an play against sumone like a lot younger than u, u will get cocky cuz u dont think lil kid got game or doesnt have experience like u.. but when U r alot younger dont underestimate urself cuz of ur age.. older guy might not b talented like u even if u r inexperienced..

I'm sayin, be confident, but don't act like your sweet cause odds are you're not the best player there. An if you're are the best player there, win the right way an don't be a ****** about it.
