Derrick Burgess is a Patriot

hes always been a solid pass rusher. How do u think he will if hes standing up?

A DE in 4-3 and OLB. In 3-4 is essentially the same.. I think he will just get a better jump off the line..

I agree king, belichick has set up the patriots for success on both sides of the ball.. If everyone stays healthy I jus don't know who's going to beat us in the playoffs...

we got rid of him b/c he was holding out oaklamd made the right move he was a good pass rusher but he couldnt p0lay the run for his life. in ne i c him only coming in on passing situations. out w/ htee old and in w/ the new in oakland. no worries we got ellis and trevor scott last yrs rookie who was impressive.

naw the 3-4 is setup where he doesnt have to really be on the run like he would in a 4-3 but he wont instantly be good cause the 3-4 takes time to learn if they put him in more than likely he will only rush the passer

This is the type of deal that belichick is always looking for.. Its the reason why he builds up draft picks every year... And as for him not being able to stop the run it won't matter, seymore, warren, wilfork, and mayo stop the run just fine.. We just needed a pass rusher really bad.. Getting presure on the qb is just as good as upgrading our secondary..

yeah. I bet knew exactly what he was doing when he traded vrabel. Vrabel is a good player but hes nowhere near the athlete Burgess is.

im not sayin he wasnt worth the contract but dudes that arent healthy dont get big contracts and he didnt understand that. he's gotten hurt the past two years now so who says he wouldnt have got hurt this year? it would just been wasted money
