Bunch schemes in madden 10

ok fellas i kno its just the demo but i can already tell right now that bunch scheme will be a great high powered offensive scheme in madden 10. my game has finally gon over that hump of having a jumblefobia about bunch sets. u can ask anyone on this site i ran wit the steelers for the majority of madden 09 and never used their bunch sets majorly due to the fact that i hated how cluttered my routes where.

with alot of ppl going to be runnin man coverage this year since its (fixed) running bunched sets will allow u to create rub offs with combo routes. these rub offs and picks help wr's get open for big gains and makes your oppnent switch to a zone coverage. now with your opponent runnin a zone coverage it may be easier to hit the seam routes and take em verticle for big games. another thing about bunch sets is that it lets u keep your eyes on half the field, thus, cutting down u scanning for an open wr on both sides of the field. bunch sets allow u to go 1 2 3 faster in your progressions looking at more wr's than a spread look were u will only have 2 wr's most the time on 1 side of the field where as a bunch u can have 3 even 4 with a rb in the flats making your turnover ratio lower from mistakes.

ive seen the light already and altho this is the demo it doesnt hurt to learn and take somethin away from this to prepare u for madden 10. so to all my opponents who know me please please be repair for this attack caus it is coming and i will be runnin it and yall know how i gets down.

The problem I am habing with this is running the bunch to the left of the screen the camera angle is real jacked on the demo to me and if its like that on the real game ima be 1 sided and I dnt like that. Now at the same time I can flip the bunch on run plays to get to the other side of the field to run a big play on the right side which will be the wide side. The more I lab this the more I like it and I think ppl will get real frustrated playing me.

yeah i jus hope they change it for the game so i can work the whole field not jus 1 side and pray i find a way to get to the other side

i used to run the bunch formations in 09 and i was successful doing so when i chose to.. it sounds like i may be more successful this year, ill definately have to look at the bunch formations in 10 when it comes out.

yeah do that bostn caus caus i believe it will be very effective in 10 like i said especially since ppl will be runnin more man this year

fo sho.. the only reason i learned how to use it in 09 is cuz i had to find a different pass play so people wouldnt know when my motion fade was coming... they would cover the motion fade everytime they saw it anyways and i would have i think 3 diff plays besides verticles that i would run and run successfully just cuz they manually would cover the motion fade that wasnt happening..

first of all i love the bunch formations n ive had no problem with the left side. i also want to not that the flats r much more usable. if u have a gud accelerating back get it to him b4 he goes up into his route n it should produce yrds also the slants r dominate this r make gud use of them.

yeah no doubt black...i learned late in the season how effective the slant to the sideline was and now ima put that into my game

Slants to the inside r dominate against zones b/c the middle man cnt cover it b/c its to deep behind him n to far plau outsiide slants wit tightends n elite wr's r hard to cover. Actually its tough to cover that in man in real life against elite wr's

yeah bunch slants a really gangsta in the demo and im guessin will be in the actual game as well...with time bunch is ugly...right now im trying to figure more combo routes...there will be combo routes for man and different 1's for zone.

i notice in a bunch formation the wr farthest to the outta bounds u set him on an inside slant n put the slot wr on a streak n the wr in between on a curl route n dat frees up the middle a lil for the slant wr. i also like putting the wr on the opposite side of the bunch on a drag route to pull the safety of a lil.

yeah there are alot of combinations u can run..if its like 2nd and 10 or 3rd and 14 u can run a double outside slant by putting the outside bunch wr on a outside slant and the top wr on the bunch on a smart route outside slant that kills cover 3 and man but i gotta keep workin on this scheme..with how i play if im strugglin on that i can always open up my pb and play like i usually play.

hey guys any tips on how to time the outside slant towards the sideline i cant seem to get this down, or are there anyways to free it up a bit, i know this can be deadly with faster recievers like donnie avery this year

Slants are also looking really nice in this game, efficient 15 yards

I've been running them a lil bit, I kinda like em. But I never ran any in 09. I already found a money play too...

the slant to the outside can be freed up by motion the slot wr to the other side with the wr on a streak or if a wide out is off the line with the slot on his side motion the wide out towards the line specially in man situations even cover 3. if u workin out the bunch it is eazier to do the slant to the sideline because the bunch is towards the LOS. run the slant with any of the bunch men wat i found really effective was a double sideline slant and smart route the top bunch man and make the correct read.

I didn't even know Pitt has the snugs formation until I was told about it yesterday. I motion a guy to one side and damn near always have someone open with the routes I use.

yeah i never thought about that CJ...doing that u can creat your own bunch sets too haha but i starting to use bunch sets and snug sets alot more now that my madden skills is growing...maybe ill be a condense player this year who knows
