stopping the goalline pitch

I recently played a level 32 or something, that used the Titans. His first two plays were the pitch from Goalline formation. Two carries for like 160 yards he had. I tried to stop it outta goalline and 4-6, then I switched to Quarter 3 deep man and stopped him the rest of the game, he beat me, but I absolutely shut his running down, relatively speaking. The rest of the game he couldn't get 3 yards per carry. He even threw in a few FB dives that got stopped.

The pitch was going to the left side, so I shifted Dline that way and crashed 'em that way too. I put my DB's to cover that side of the field and my MLB to cover the opposite side to protect the cutback. Ever since then, when somebody comes out in goalline I pick this play and have had huge success.

well if you know the way in which the opponent is tossing ball, you can always run commit to that side.

also, i'd suggest coming out in a 46 bear formation.

I don't have the Bear formation in the PB I use {Oakland}. And the reason I went to the Quarter is because his RB was able to get passed the third level {DB's} without any difficulty. I'm pretty sure he was changing blocking assignments {hotroutes} because his blockers sealed off my defenders with ease. Therefore I figured if I had players further back, he couldn't seal them off.... and it worked, much to my suprise. Like I said, I tried to put eight and even eleven in the box and he got passed all of them without being touched. Furthermore, it worked brilliantly against the next guy that tried the exact same thing.... that guy was a high level and I got up on him in a hurry and he quit because his run game was going nowhere.
**Note** this play only defends the goalline pitch well. If they run from another formation I'd suggest another defense.

I come out in goalline and you come out in quarters, i'ma audible to HB dive!

Yeah that's what I'd do.

I'm just saying what worked for me against two guys that racked up alot of wins running outta goaline, and I swear it held 2-4 FB dives to three or less and one loss. Its not the magic play or anything, just something I happened upon and thought I'd share.

Another tip I guess I'll share, although I am reluctant to do so because it pertains to the probable outcome of the game. But since I'm usually the away team and that's the pertinant party I'll go ahead and share.

If you reach OT, pick the opposite side of the coin that you picked to begin the game. I always pick heads to start a game, that way I know to pick tails if we reach OT. I cannot remember this not working, I believe even in 08. Don't know if anyone else does this, but it hasn't failed for me, that I remember.
