No more playmaker

Madden 10 won't include the playmaker feature, do you guys think this is a good thing or a bad thing?

I think that without the playmaker, you will see more and more people droppig 9 or 10 guys in coverage, so you will have to tweak up your strategy a little in madden 10 if you used it a lot before.

Personal i hated the playmaker, but I know some of you guys loved it.

QB Evade>Playmaker. It was fine to use when all of your receivers stop running their routes, but other than that it wasn't anything special.

its going to mess up alot of peoples games, and imo i didn't like when people used it on screen passes when u have that shyt locked down

Im slightly torn on this subject.While it is part of the game it has been abused in Madden.How often have you seen things break down and Romo,Favre, and even Big Ben scramble and point for a receiver to go where they can make a play.It happens on Sunday and its fun to watch.I hate it when folks base their whole offense around it so I guess it well have to see.I do agree that guys will drop alot in coverage but as always cats will find a way to beat that too.

I never really used it all that much. So im not bothered by it haha. It did suck playing against tho.

im excited they took this arcade ish feature out of the game because it sucked and if u got someone covered it sucks because its overeffective. only thing that sucks is playmaker was useful against people who played fag D. lets just hope this year running the ball willa bsolutely kill fag D then you will actually get to learn and see real NFL football defenses. then u wont need playmaker

thats good to hear people had gameplans on 4 streaks so you had to play cover 4 and then a delayed rb curl and just playmaker him all day it got annoying

i hope they get red of it i use it but i think it sucks cuz i hate the fag o . they should make it to where if ur in trouble ur recievers try to get to open areas on the field . like recievers do in the gm.

I used it but I didn't abuse it...

It was a great feature when people didn't abuse it, but it was just getting out of hand.

im kinda glad its gone because ppl abuse it too much. now madden 10 is all about reads and makin smart decisions =) which i likeeeeee

I just hope this doesn't turn into straight fag defenses anytime you need a pass for a first down. We will see.

I happy to see it gone as well ...if the running game is stepped on madden 10 i will be very happy

yeah i wouldnt be mad if they got rid of it. it was cool but too many guys abused it like every other good thing in the game

playmaker was a great addition to the game like in 04 or 05 whenever it was put in, but now it's getting so out of line, like people get out of multiple jams with it, and it would never happen in real life

yea i hated it! im glad its gone.. i never really used it except on one play cuz it would always work but i think it was stupid

Good because not people cant abuse a lot of cheese that goes along with this feature

As far as realism goes, it did have it's place but too many people abused it. I wish it still had some sort of place in the game, like after passing plays totally break down because you DO see it in real life but not having it at all is definitely better than how it is now.

i agree and i think it should only be used wit mobile qbs like big ben and mcnabb thats mostly who you see doin it cuz theyre the ones who could buy that time with their legs

im 70-30 on this 70 for gettin rid of it and 30 for keeping it in but minimizing it to 10 yards or under...ppl abused it on screens and also abused it by sending everyone on verticle and jus playmakering the halfback...the feature is good for scrambling but half the time the wr's went were u needed them to go anyway...i didnt really use the feature too much it was great wen i did but it wont really be missed on my part.

The defense doesn't react the way it should on these. I'm kind of glad they took it out. You are right when people send 3 or 5 guys on streaks taking away deep defenders. Then playmaker the HB behind your yellow and purple zones for big gains. I just have a feeling everyone is gonna run fag defenses. I hope receivers are able to break away from weaker coverage guys so this doesn't ruin the game.

With no pressure though I also have a feeling that someone would get wide open after 5 or so seconds with the new way the game is going to work.

yeah i agree...i believe that blitzing will be more of a MUST-DO in madden 10

i think its a good thing... first off if people start dropping their d into 9 and 10 man coverages then they deserve to have me run down their throat..(from a guy who didnt run on 09 but will learn to run in 10)... i think its a good thing though cuz i found a lot of people who couldnt run a real offence so they sent their rb to the flats or on a curl and everyone else deep and then playmakered their rb every play... i think its a ****** move but i did learn how to stop but cost me a couple wins against people that i know im better then in 09..
