| dang Rob, your team is getting rid of every1
The Broncos are back to just one Bailey brother.
The team this morning released linebacker Boss Bailey, the younger brother of cornerback Champ Bailey.
Bailey, who signed with the team as a free agent in 2008, started six games last season before suffering a season-ending knee injury on Oct. 20. He underwent microfracture surgery and spent the entire offseason rehabbing the knee in Denver with team doctors and trainers.
But he was not recovered enough to be able to practice with the team in any of its offseason practices.
"I wasn't really surprised by it. I understand how the business goes," Bailey said. "It's a business call. I appreciate everything they've done for me since I've been here. Once you're a Bronco, you're always a Bronco.
Bailey said he "still has some work to do" to be ready to play for another team this season.
"He was totally professional in his approach, and the way he handled himself here," coach Josh McDaniels said. "We felt it was the right thing to do for the player, to have the opportunity to latch onto another team by August."

| Damn it...I really liked Boss and I think it would've been smart to wait for him to be healthy...He's a speedy guy and a hard hitter, but I guess that's not enough to keep him. Still, they must have other players that they feel they can count on. Otherwise, they wouldn't have made the move. | |

| Man I'm a Big Boss Baily fan. He is a genetic freak. When he came into the league there was no one who could come close to touching him athletic wise. He should have been a All-Pro every year w/o even trying. Hopefully he can get on a team that can utilize him to his full potential. I really think he can still be one of the the best LBs in the game. Please come to the Saints. | |

| the thing is he fits more in a 4-3 defense than a 3-4 in a 3-4 he would have to play inside lb which is where DJ will be i dunno who will be the other one and the 3-4 takes a while for players to learn and him being injured doesnt help alot of those front seven guys will be released based off how they perform in the 3-4 lol | |

| There is only ONE reason anyone even knows or even cares who this guy is...he is the brother of Champ Bailey. He is at best an average starting linebacker in the NFL. People saying he should be an All-Pro and saying he can be one of the best linebackers in the game are on crack. He has had injuries blah blah blah, but even when he is healthy he was sub-par. There are dozens of better linebackers in the game than Boss Bailey. Scott Fujita has had a far better career, and no one would put up a post if he got released. Just because he has a cool first name and his brother is Champ doesn't mean he will be anything better than an average LB. There is a reason why he the Lions or the Broncos (arguably bottom 5 defenses) don't want him. | |

I know AND care about Boss Bailey because he was a Bronco and I am a fan. So, I guess there might be more than ONE fucking reason. At no point did anyone say he was a Hall of Fame athlete or a franchise LB. Last year, when healthy, he was quick, agile and hard hitting. Just because you don't give a s*** doesn't mean everyone else automatically doesn't either.

| Take a deep breath and count to 10, I don't see your panties getting all bunched up when they released Jamie Winborn ,John Engleberger, or Dewayne Robertson. There weren't any posts about them when they got released. The point I am making is that the only reason why there was a post made and people know who he is, is because of who his brother is. You can't argue the fact that he is an average LB. I didnt say he was an HOFer or the best LB in the game, but someone did say "he should make the Pro Bowl without even trying" and that "he can still be one of the best LB's in the game". | |

| I'm not even kidding to make a point, but I didn't even know he was Champ Bailey's brother until I read the story about his release. I obviously knew they had the same name, but I didn't know they were related. I did think it sucked when Engelberger, Robertson and Bly were released, but I don't make threads when I assume no one will care. Most people think the Broncos are a joke right now, so I'm trying to stay a wee bit more quiet than usual. | |

i dont think they are a joke, i think josh mcdaniels is gona show that hes doing a great job. he got a qb that fits his system and got a potential "franchise" rb in the process.. only time will tell.. i still think the broncos are in the thick of things in the afc west.

Who remember Charlie Weis? Savior of the new england patriots, offensive genious, supposedly turned tom brady into who he is. Everyone thought he would save Notre Dame. Turns out he didnt know a thing about being a head coach. I am not saying josh mcdaniels will be like weis, but it is a possibility. Everyone touted the guy as brilliant, but he isnt keeping his players happy.

oh yea i remember.... i didnt say that mcdaniels doesnt have a chance to be a bust, i just tend to think that cutler is a crybaby and not a leader that u would like if he was to be the franchise qb and id rather go to war with someone who isnt jay cutler.. kyle orton played in a similar system and did well in college to what mcdaniels will impose in denver and i think it will work out for them... and possibly they got a franchise rb, not sure yet but time will tell if knowshon is ready for the big stage... i just dont think that the team has fallen off the way everyone else makes it out to be... of cource i am a little biased cuz mcdaniels is from the belichick tree but i honestly dont see that they downgraded the way everyones makin it out to be...

| well i think the whole josh mcdaniels/jay cutler thing wouldnt have been so bad if mcdaniels wouldnt have denied the trade rumors at first. i know i'd be pissed if i were jay cutler. i dont think he'll be a bust but he's not startin off right so he's gonna be on a short leash | |
