top 10 by postion player ratings for Madden 10

good article on espn taking a little more indepth sneak peak at the ratings for 10.

this year is def gonna be more fine tuned and speed no longer is going to be the focus.

my 1 beef tho is y did they turn Phillip Rivers into Chad Pennington. I mean i know he doesnt have a monster arm but droping him from like a 90 thp to an 81??? That sux big time.

probably cuz he didnt deserve to be a 90 so they dropped him and this year they are dropping most peoples ratings in general to make the game more realistic so they probably dropped it even more when they dropped the games overall ratings... idk that he deserves an 81 but thats the only thing i can think of.

big ben should be a little faster tony as well.

they did mcnabb pretty good( his acc could of been a little bit better) but westbrook at a 94,he is so freakin good why is he a 97 in 09(2nd best RB) and drops down, thats just retarted. but larry fitzgerald is going to be a monster.

he only dropped cuz of the drop in ratings.. his production isnt what dropped him down.. theres plenty of examples of that

i know but a 97 to a 94 i would understand maybe 1 point or even stay the same, he did so good last season, i dont get it

yea well matt forte got screwed too! he was a top 5 back in production.. i think haha but hes not even in the top 10 in rankings

i see what your saying but some of these rankings are a little bogus but some are right on the money

patrick Willis has 90 speed and 99 tackling and finally they noticed he can cover good too he lead da league in passes defended by linebackers

well Rivers doesnt have a huge gun but he is no chad pennington either. He has decent arm strength at least average which should be in the 86-90 range. He doesnt deserve anything over 90. But 81 is stupid. I would take him over Tony Romo anyday. They got Romos ratings right. I feel both have a similar arm. Rivers should be a 88-89 THP. U know how hard its gonna be to throw the deep ball, just play a game with Miami and try chucking a deep pass with Chad Pennington, i mean Deep like beyond 40 yards or so. pretty much impossible yet Rivers did it plenty of times last year on the money. Had his best year of his career and should have been in the Pro Bowl if u look at his stats.

As for westbrook he is getting older and had the knee injury. Not to mention they are tuning the game speed down so 94 speed in 10 is like a 96 -97 on 09. Deangelo Williams is like a 95 so u ca n see they are about the same class back but Williams is in his Prime where as Westbrook, LT, and some of the older boys are on their way down. I wanna see where how Slaton, Chris Johnson and Forte are rated. Im sure they are high 80s overall like 87-89s The game is more about skills than pure speed this year. Everyone will see that. All that BS that gets run online aint gonna cut it next year. At least till some other glitches get exploited. But at least should be an improvement. Im sure forte isnt far off this list. I would take him over thomas jones too.

im in disagreement with the forte in the top 10 ratings thing............. im not hating or anything like that he is a top 10 back no doubt but last year he was basically the whole bears offense compared to other halfbacks he touched the ball more i would think..but him on a decent offense and his touches go down...dude is a high 80ish 85-89 i would say and jones is actually solid

Am i the only one that thinks TO should be faster then 89?? Sucks for bills fan, he is till one of the fastest wr's when he hits his stride.

forte stats 316 carries, 1238 yds, 8tds, 3.9 YPC, 63 rec, 477yds, 4tds... AP was the best rb in the league he carried 363 times with a 4.8 YPC but i have a few on that list i dont like more then forte still... thomas jones, i dont like him more then forte but he did carry the ball 290 times for 1312 yds and 13 tds so i guess im wrong on that if u go by stats from last year... brandon jacobs, 219 carries for 1089 yds and 15 tds its 5 yds per carry, but he doesnt work in the pass game at all which is where forte would get him IMO... i guess now that i look at the stats forte is probably right where he belongs at 11 or 12.. it doesnt show but im sure hes not to far out of the top 10..

They said they tuned the games speed down so an 89 is like a 92-93 on 09. Which is about right Fitz and Boldin are both rated same. But i think you have a point tho. TO should be like a 91, Fitz should be a 90 and boldin should be a 89. But i dunno maybe we all are beign too Picky. LOL I think we are thinkin too much of Madden of the past. I think We are gonna be able to break off big gains and beat CBs deep with guys with 89, 90 speed due to their route running ability etc.

i dnt agree with the speed of TO his acceleration is low but i mean at 8-12 yrds he is the fastest wr on the field hands down...i think we dont kno wat is in store for madden 10 and we are looking at 10 like 09...im glad they didnt put the streaking gimic backs in the top 10 like felix jones and CHRIS JOHNSON...i also believe that u will be able to burn ppl deep in 10 caus u will get punished playing bump and run ALL game jus like u did in 08 if u had a speed boot wr...until we see the game speed of 10 and if there is really a change in it as far as the run blockin change and pass blocking change and others then i feel we can comeback and give a better analysis of the top 10...i jus think we are a lil scared and surprised that EA is actually meaning wat they say as far as making madden 10 more sim.

T.O. isnt a 94-96 speed guy tho they only made his speed like that in madden to simulate his game speed but if the stats play a part like they claim they will then T.O. will still be much of a factor

I think I look at Fitz game speed and TO as about the same and I think they got it right. TO is gettin older and no doubt he will be progressing downward in the years to come. But like we said 89 on 10 is like a 93 on 09

i disagree i seen TO burn Deangelo Hall on on a streak with just speed and score ,i also seen him outrun Pacman Jones ,TO is still one of the fastest receivers in the nfl ..his acceleration isnt all that good but he should be atleast 92 speed in madden 10 ,TO is considered a deep threat in the nfl and i doubt that would be the case in madden 10 with only 89 speed
