Like I said before, you will find bits and pieces of this on other sites, cuz the guy who made it was a fraud. He's prolly the most idiotic guy thruout the madden community. Last known stuff form him was on a site called maddenboard.
Defensive Tips and Concepts to Follow
Recognize Zone Coverage
cover 2- no rotation, some lb's may bite if ur in a gun tight or snugs formation
cover 3- safety rotation
cover 4- DB's slighty move out for that buzz zone the cover.. this is
cover 4 out of the dollar, a heavy d cover 4 will still have people
moving slightly toward the buzz zone... no safeties move though.
in a heavy d cover 2 or 3 (heavy d meaning 46,34,4-3) the ROLB (hes to ur left when u line up under center)
will first move inside for coverage as if hes followin an in route, if
not hes gunna bump the guy at the line and stick em... now this doesnt
work wit LOLB so use this to ur advantage for a quick lead pass to left
on a slantout..
other zone covers also have rotations amongst their secondary including
zone blitzes so u might wanna remember how to recognize the basic ones
then the least used ones...
Zone blitz- ull see some ppl slide and others come in.. it might be a fake so dont rush your throw.
Intercepting the Screen Pass and stopping it as well. Concept also provides great coverage regardless
make a DE play flat zone and spread dline out. man up on WR who u think
is gettin da screen wit a CB then wait if u want u cn just set the DE
manually a lil of the line.. he'll hike the ball ad while the line sets
up ull see ur DE and CB sneak up a lil and pressure will still come and
he'll throw an INT or it'll be a loss.. if the CB picks it off its TD
for sure. Take control of safety or LB to cover deep..
I also sub in a LB for better coverage.. Remember the line scoots to side so pressure will hit him anyways
Blitzing Scheme
Used by players like Jet Steele (ive seen and played vs him and its a
great scheme almost impossible to adapt to) the Blitzing Scheme Concept
is a concept that is simple to learn but takes time to completly master
it w/o the steps written down.
Scheme consists of: Nano TYPE blitzes, b gap pressure, stopin the "hike
ball sprint with QB back," nice zone coverages, and keepin ur opponent
vexed at all times.
How to start this concept: Bringing the pressure from A and B gap and
having a quick blitz out of any formation out of the heavy d's and the
nickel. for this u must overload the gap and have a contain on the
other side and if u have a man on the line who u havent hot routed i
suggest dropin him in coverage. pressure will get to QB almost
instantly and he wont be able to get off a good throw, u must remember
that the setup for this is if QB is undercenter.. PLay we will use for
a quick example is the COVER 3 out of the nickel.
1) Blitz DT's and one DE. Contain the other DE.
2) blitz 2 other linebackers or blitz one and other in the flats
3) place one Lb btw or slightly infront of DT or a few yards of the line BTW DE and DT other place to outside of blitzing DE
4) you might wanna do that delayed bump thingy so the routes take a tad more to develp.
5) use Safety or someone else to cover holes.
NOW i know im describing a play thing but u CAN DO THIS WITH ANY PLAY OUT OF THE SETS DESCRIBED ABOVE.
now the good thing is that if u come out of nickel (after uve blitzed
the hell out of him while hes under center) setup the same way if he
linesup again (he'll try a quick dump off prolly) but man up on RB and
drop some ppl in flats.
FOR SG SETUP
drop a DE on a hook zone cover zone dont matter and blitz the rest of
the line down.. now place a LB to contain or blitz to outside, if u
blitz him place to outside of DE in cover zone... REMEMBER ITS SG A
CONTAIN WILL REALLY SCREW U UP IF HE EXPECTS IT HE'LL JUST RUN BACK..
show blitz and boom he'll again try to go deep (easy pick) or RC
quickly (cud lead to pick if hes hit as he throws)....
if u mix up the blitzes alot and get of comin out of center u have him
in check and all you have to do is drop some coverages and easy
contains...
CONCLUSION FOR SG
He'll be forced to make RB block.. makin it real easy for u to cover some1 else and get easy stops..
He'll go to screen alot.. make sure you expect a screen out of SG sets
and IFORm.. man up individually... meaning that u use DE to man up on
WR or RB but dont make him align just get off line a lil...
With the RB being out of the passing game it shud be real easy to play
Defense.. even if he does set him to block.. watch the delayed routes
these really can kill u if no1 is on contain or if ur playin F@G D
Final Thoughts on Concept guide
Print it out and lab concept one at a time.. if u head st8 for a game a
lose.. dont blame on me cause u have to lab b4 u go on to the actual
turf.
Do not run the same plays on defense all the time.. on specific sets
run the same like the screen one provides great overall coverage.
MIX UP ON OFFENSE and DEFENSE- everytime i play someone i use my
original offensive and defensive tactics the first half and see what
scheme he uses. after half i switch up and stop him. if u use the same
scheme ull get beat if he finds ur weak spot.
Recognize Coverage- If u dont do this vs ppl with stick ull throw stupid picks and not make the right reads...
