Hey guys,

I've been doing a lot of work with my site and doing the whole goolge optimization. I have google ALL figured out. If you guys need ANY help, just let me know!

I've seen other people mention outside links. This is true, but it can only help so much.

The main thing you want do do -- if you haven't done it yet -- is working with Google Webmaster tools. What your going to do is register your site. After you register it they're going to want your to verify it. They're going to give you some "meta tag" codes to put onto the site. You guys are using forumotion right? If so you will go to admin panel / Display / Generalities / Additional Tags / Other Meta Tags and put the name and content they give you into the proper boxes.

After that you are going to want to do the "sitemaps." You will go through all of your categories in the forum and copy and paste everything after the link forum.madden-school.com/

Whatever is after that / is what you'll paste into the box. Just do that on all of the categories.

Most of the time -- on my site anyways -- it will come up "fail blah blah blah." But that's ok. It's still working I promise.

As soon as someone makes me a 180 width x 300 height banner of Madden-School I'll be putting it onto my forum. The image will be a clickable link to this website. I'll make a bigger banner that will go onto my affiliates page for you guys, also.

There is some more stuff you guys can do, too. If you need any kind of help at all, just let me know. I'll help as much as I can. Just let me know. I hope what I just said is understandable and will become help. I know Google is so hard but those are almost have too's to stay on top of the competition.

Oh, and another thing speaking of affiliates. You guys should find some non-rival websites and try to become affiliates of. Maybe like a NBA 2k site or something in that nature. That's what I'm about to start doing.

JASON! thanks man! good lookin out, this is going to be a great help. we only recently started messing around with meta tags, but we have yet to go into the depth you have. hopefully we can get on that today and see results soon.

I'm a member there and they're huuuuge and have lots and lots of sitemaps and affiliates. Big time affiliates, too.

But you guys can do it!

Mod No other site will try to go above us except OS(who will porlly get sold to gamespot like sportgamer) cuz ******* isn't a big aspect anymore since they are a dying site even with the 500+ who visit every day. TML is more of a place for ppl to buy ebooks and tips. But we are the site for talkin, chillin, tips, and messin around, so even if we don't stay, who da best?(Rhetorical question)

TML is for hardcore XBOX guys. after being there for 2 months now for EAFL, i have witnessed how much more active this site is in comparison to them.

I don't even see them as harcore players. that site shold be changed for themaddenlab, to the madden tournies, cuz that's all that goes on over there is tourney after tourney. The don't talk about tips cuz you have to pay for them, but they'll talk about tourneys like its crack. Like Crunk said, they're stingy over there, and dont like to give up there gameplan.

When I type in just "Madden" on yahoo, we come up 37th...that doesn't seem too bad...

that is so true Crunk! TML is too prideful to me! meaning; they think that EVERYONE is trying to steal something for a tournament. i couldn't less about tournaments. i don't have time for that stuff running two business. i just love to gather, share and exchange tips to help everyone improve their game on THIS GAME!!! sure...some people are making money from madden....but...NOT EVERYONE!!

and...if you ask a question over there...everyone jumps on you and act like your are an idiot for asking a question about this game. that is lame and pathetic to me! so,,,let's keep up the good work here at MS to be both a place for clean competition and a place where everyone.....from the tournament and madden challenge players to the regular cats like me....can enjoy!
