my thoughts on basketball are not the same as baseball...not entirely haha...basketball is becoming a pussy sport with like bumps being called as fouls...the rules and refs take the game away from the plays. These rules are geared toward offense, which i kno drives the game, but also ppl come to see defense. Defense is gettin closer and closer to OLE defense. Meaning a playin like lebron can drive to the basket and get either an automatic foul called or jus OLE here you go straight dunk contest all game. Let the players play and wen u drive to the basket let players play defense and not i hope someone misses. Basketball is an i hope they have a bad night shooting game period.
now as far as the amount of games go, the ncaa has the best format wen it comes to the amount of games played. including the tournament games, ncaa plays about wat 40 games. add a few games to that and there u go. change 40 games to 60 games. the reason y basketball has so many games is for stars like kobe lebron d. wade and others to entertain and try and get scoring titles. im not saying shortin the amount of games the nba plays but if u look at it only a certain few teams/players take the first 20 games serious. if u are going to keep the 80+ games then i say do wat the ncaa does in its tournament play and thats WIN OR GO HOME no we will get em next time. i dont understand y a team has another opportunity to win if they lose. i hate the fact that u cannot play someone who can but cant play. i hate the fact that u can have a bad game and not worry about it. i hate the fact taht u can say o well to losing 1 game. u kno y it is called MARCH MADNESS. it is because u either WIN.....OR GO HOME. so ncaa players play like it is there last because....it is.
The rules of the nba must change in my opinion. with star power driving the nba, i believe the game needs revamping. wen u start up playin basketball, u call your own fouls. fouls which only got called wen u either fell to the ground or u heard a slap. i am not sayin there should be no refs, but i believe they should take the whistle out there mouth especially wen a player comes barreling into the paint just to caus a foul. wen an offensive play buries hiself on the baseline under the basket and a defender has his arms up and the offensive player jumps in him to caus the foul and they call it....HORSE s***. u should be able to jump with an offensive player besides taking balls in your mouth to "try" and get a charge call. pushing at player to get a LOSE ball should be league long as u dont tackle someone.
here are my points:
- refs should swallow there whistle especially in the paint wen an offensive player is on the attack and a defensive player has to play defense. - change the playoff system to a do or die win or go home ncaa tournament style - maybe shorten the season
**and u kno wat erks me. y do u have an allstar game in the middle of the season makes no sense to me.

This is the main reason they call B**** fouls. Brent was fouled, and they didn't give it to him

yea, and that's the main reason they start to B**** and whine cuzz of this one foul. Brent Barry is clutch when it comes down to it, and he woulda had 3 shots at the line. lol, the fouls in the paint are big time fouls. they hack at the arms, and crap. look at some of the flagrant fouls, and you'll see they all come from being called in the paint.

im saying being able to jump and contest shots...slappin or pulling arms and s*** yeah thats a foul but body pumping in the area to contest a layup or dunk and not let anyone jus score eazy baskets...but anything outside of the paint is a foul wat eva they call but wen someone is trapped on the baseline and bump the defender to create space and they call a foul on the defender fa tryin to block it is BS...i jus think they turnin the NBA into a pussy sport honestly...real ticky tack

They are actually trying to make people stop flopping. Spurs = Flop central.

How can you call that a foul?? Your being extremely hipocritical, you just said that the refs blow the whistle too much, Barry should have went up while fisher was in the air to draw that foul, but instead he hesitated and took an extra dribble. That was one of the few good calls in the NBA.

yea i understand ur point but that was a foul. berry isnt a scorer anyways so he didnt kno how to react to that situation, if it was ginobli or parker it would have been a different situation

Nope, that was clean, if it was ginobli or parker they would have "drawn" contact and created a foul, there was a lot of potential for a call but the refs made the right decision, and you said yourself berry didnt know how to react thats why he didnt get the call, you cant give him a call because he lacks the skill to make a smart decision. Bottom line it wasn't a foul, & I by no means am I spurs fan, I live in LA.

The only problem i have is that some of the players get "special" treatment. The star players get so many calls and bb was absolutely right when ever a player like kobe or lebron drive its going to be a foul or a dunk. But if a player of lesser status its usually never called. I remember how the refs used to letr the guys play i think it was the 90's with jordan and the defenses were awesome they were physical but not to physical. The refs kept the games from getting out of hand but still let guys play "basketball" not who's the better player is going to get treatment.

Honestly, these days I've really hated the NBA...
I've only been watching College ball, Euro Ball, and a bit of the pistons games just cause the pistons are important to me...
But yeah tuki I like when the refs let the players play too. I play basketball a lot, since I'm well, not old... And basketball feels way more fun to play when stupid ass cats aren't calling fouls if you just touch em... especially at the park...
But I remember a few years back I played a league game where the refs took the physicality a bit too far, there was flagrant fouls pretty much every play haha...
I couldn't where my gold socks after that game cause they had blood stains all the way down...

the falcons thing was a mistake....adel..i dont think i am being hypocritical. wat i was saying is that 1. special players get special treatment and 2. going to the rack should be a risk reward decision. going to the rack shouldnt be guarunteed points. let the players play defense...contact on a jumpshot tho is obvious and is alot harder to shoot a jumpshot than driving to the rack and dunking or laying it up and players stepping aside.

I agree with you and all, but lets see if you step outta the way when there's a 6'8 270 beast running a 4.4 coming right at you.
