Look who everyone put up as their top rappers. There is no one that came out after 05 except Chamillionair and Lupe. Everyone else is old as hell. You think Jay, Nas, 50,Em Kanye, Luda, etc...going to rap for ever. Everyone that has come out lately is one hit wonders. Thats why rap is dying there is no stability except for the old heads. And if you think Lupe and Chamillionare are going to keep rap alive we are all f*cked. Tell me what new rappers are going to carry rap for the next 5 years? Or are you depending on the ones that have been carrying rap for the last 10 years to carry it for another 5.

And there's soooooo much more good s*** comin out...
that's hardly any, and almost all of that is a different artist, I only repeated the ones because I felt you should here more of him...
You just got annihilated son...
I mean seriously that's like 2 and a half hours of music at least, all of it different artists(mostly)... and just about every song by those guys is great... there's so many more cats that either aren't on youtube, or I just don't feel like googling their stuff. Talents everywhere you just half to know that...
Hell I could probably find 40 great songs that came out last few years just from Detroit for ya...
I mean sure, not all of that is s*** you want you're kids listening too... but you don't want your kids listening to their classmates in 6th grade either. And some of that is real smart, like the murs and stuff...
I know my music bro, shiiiiiit I've made some music, I know where to find hip hop cause it's what I know... I could show you if you want... I mean... I just did...
But that's like a scratch on the surface, I would've posted some dilla but he died of lupas a few years ago and you said guys who'll make music in 5 years...

| None of these guys are going to go platinum. None of these guys are going to be held in the same regard as 50 or Jay... Plus none of these fools will be heard from 5 years from now...So if this is the group of rappers you feel is going to carry rap for the next 5 years I'm going to go ahead and start crying now. | |

| Did you really just say nobody will be held in the same regard as 50 or jay??? NOBODY WANTS TO BE HELD IN THE SAME REGARD AS 50! HE'S A JOKE!
Guarantee you at least 5 of them go platinum, and even still.
goin platinum isn't what it's all about... I mean sure everyone would like too, but 95% of rappers will never go platinum... you realize if I went on to jams right now the only platinum artist anyways is lil wayne? Everybody else is just a one hit wonder... And while I'm not lil waynes biggest fan he's at least rapping therefore it's better than a lot of s***(on most of his tracks he raps anyways) on the radio/mtv. But anyways, lil wayne being the only dude platinum, that's like 1 artist to go platinum out of this whole time period... nobody wants to here 15 tracks from these guys, they all just use limewire and download their 1 hit song they saw on jams...
AND NEXT TIME YOU TRY TO DISS AN ARTIST, ABOUT 20 OF THEM, AT LEAST LISTEN TO THE 1 SONG I POSTED FROM MOST OF IT... how you gonna talk s*** about how they can't go platinum if you haven't even heard it yet. no way you even listened to 1 song before you ran your mouth cause you posted 1/2 minutes after me, a song is 4 minutes...

| ok, crack a bottle has the illest flow on a track, and 3 of the hottest rappers on it. I agree with Jwhite about rap dyin, but Hip-hop is alive like a mutha fuc*a. I'm not gunnna lie, some of these white pop songs is startin to sound better everyday. I think I'm gettin whiter(no offense, im mixed) cuz I was watchin High School Musical, and was starin to like it. I start listenin to more mixed radio staions now then str8 rap and stuff. easier to be diverse(not country, all they talkin about is screwin their sisters and gettin drunk in their pick-ups). | |

Ok let me know when one of them goes platinum and then I will apologize. Is this gonna happen anytime soon? I mean can except to see one of them blow up and go platinum within the next 6,12,18 months? I tell you what I'll give $100 if one of them goes gold in the next 12 months.

You gotta know the ledge before you start talkin about s***... cause if you'd actually listen around you'd find really conchienchus(I know it's not spelled that way, no I idea how to spell it so I put it in phonetically) stuff... and even stilll... you have to look at yourself, I bet back in '89 you were listenin to Boyz in da hood... and you turned out alright, I can tell cause you're actually raising a kid... And I'm just sayin, the chance you keep your kid away from something, especially something so big, is zero... you can't do it... he's gonna go to school you know... I understand and agree but, I didnt listen to Boyz in Da Hood when i was growing up. I heard the songs because of at the time, it was on the radio. It wasnt something that i chose to listen too. In that era, i was listening to KRS-1, Rakim, Gangstarr, A tribe Called Quest, Brand Nubian and Nasty Nas. I was born and raised in the Pro-jects of Newark New Jersey. My parents have instilled in me the mindset of being me and unique. So, when everyone was selling drugs and banging because it was in style or cool. I stood away from it. Even though i agree with the whole "My kids are going to school theory" In my opinion, a stable home and proper parenting, i feel i have a good chance that my son won't come home after school greeting me with " Whats poppin dad?" And lets face it, im no saint. Up until my kids were born on March 27th 2008, i really havent thought or realized the poison that is played on the radio airways. I love hip hop, i have been exposed to it due to the nature and surroundings of my upbringing in the hood. But, i didnt embrace it or let it consume or dictate my way of thinking and how i view the world. Even the old hip hop artists are changing their styles and the contents of their lyrics. Look at Jay-Z, and Nas. All of this Gang Banging, Drug selling, Male bravado, Woman disgracing music is destroying our youth man. This type of music is money nowadays. Thank GOD for the underground scene.

u kno me so well cj...wayne is the best rapper alive caus of 3 things 1. nobody out right now is putting out as much music as he has in the last 2 yrs pretty much for free and if u wanna say y dont he release albums is caus ova half the songs he does do are either leaked or he jus fuckin around and his doppest songs arent even on his albums picture that. 2. although he samples a couple lyrics from time to time like u wouldnt even kno who said that unless someone told u and it sounds alot better. 3. the s*** he raps about is street gospel and noone from 50 trash ass, to jay-z, to kanye, to anyone u think is better does that for me.

| KRS-One is pure hiphop
Rahkim is money
Blackstar (i could take Mos Def or Talib, but with their powers combined they are captain planet)
Jay-Z is amazing
N.A.S. is pretty genius
Lil Wayne because if i didnt put him in this list it would make me look less credible
art is subjective. if anyone out there is looking to be called the best rapper alive, theyre gonna have to become incredibly diverse and versatile.
