|  J.R. Smith of the Denver Nuggets has been selected to replace injured Rudy Gay (left hip flexor strain) of the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2009 Sprite Slam Dunk contest to be held on Saturday, Feb. 16 at US Airways Center in Phoenix. Smith previously participated in the 2005 Sprite Slam Dunk contest.

| thats wat i said last year and dwight took over, but Smith is a High rizer and has been in the contest so im hopin for the best | |
