| I know its not til april 25th and 26th but i am starting to read a lot of mock drafts and starting to get real pumped up for what my team may do in this years draft... Possibly more then i could imagine if we trade Cassel for a first and second round pick.. But the thought of having James Laurenitis next to Jarod Mayo next year and DJ Moore at CB possibly would just give the Pats a much better look on defence to start next year.. Am i nuts for getting this pumped up for the draft when my team could possibly have two first round picks and three second round picks? we already have one first round and two second round picks and with a Matt Cassel trade we would surely get at least a first and second round pick or else Cassel isnt goin anywhere. Our other pick in the second round is probably goin to an OT but there has been so many names that pop up i realy cant name who else we are lookin to get in the top 60 picks of this years draft. Is there anyone else getting pumped up for draft day already or am i just crazy? | |

| I'm def ready for the draft to see what the Eagles/Titans do. I am also waiting to see what Miami does. With Parcells there they could have another hell of a year. So we will see. Plus if the Eagles get TJ/Boldin we will really see what happens. | |

| Raiders need to get a tackle not Maclin. I highly doubt that anyone would give a 1st round let alone a 1st and second for a soon to be 27 year old QB who had one good year of short passes. | |

I dont doubt it cuz there are about 10 teams right now who probably arent cofortable with their qbs and one of those teams is a qb who can manage a game well away from bein a superbowl contender in the minnesota vikings. they dont need much, their team is pretty solid and if they had matt cassel throwing more accurate passes they could be a force next year in the nfc. If you watched every game of the Pats like i did this past year u would know that Matt Cassel didnt just throw the short pass. They opened up the offence for him later in the season and he did pretty well. i think its fair to say he wouldnt have back to back 400 yard passing games if he never went down field. the fact is that u probably didnt watch as much of the pats as i did and there are a lot of teams interested because of what he accomplished in his first year as a starter and what they think he is capable of with more playing time. I think if the vikings could say they would be in the superbowl next year with cassel starting they would trade a first and second round picks. it wouldnt have to be both this years draft. could be a first round this year and second round next year.

| Micheal Crabtree is deffinately the best wr coming out this year with Jeremy Maclin right behind him.. Rbs are weak this year the best one coming out is probably Knowshon Moreno from Georgia.. i dont know if hes actually coming out or not i havent heard anything on him but he was a sophmore last year and if hes not coming out then the best rb is either Chris Wells from Ohio State or LeSean McCoy outa pittsburg. | |

| not looking forward to it since i am a panther fan lol. Maybe we can snag a QB in the later rounds to compete with delhomme for the starting spot. If julius peppers leaves, we def. need to fill that gap as well. | |

| I just hope the Colts pickup some help on the defensive line.
As far as Cassel goes, there is no way they will get a 1st and 2nd round pick for him. They would be lucky to get a 2nd period. Trades in the NFL just don't happen that often and most teams will not part ways with a 1st round pick. Cassel is a product of the system. With the line and the receivers that they have, I would be VERY surprised if he could replicate last season with any other team. The Vikings have a decent line, but their WR are shaky at best. They have several areas where they need help and giving up that many draft picks just wouldn't make much sense for them. The Pats will be stuck paying Cassell all that money next year to be a backup once Brady returns.

Blackhawk, it's not that Cassell deserves to be traded for a 1st and 2nd round pick, it's the fact that he was franchise tagged, so if any team makes a trade for him, they HAVE to give up a 1st and 2nd round draft pick....

That's not quite true. If another team wants to sign him, they have to give up 2 First round picks. However, the Pats can make any trade they want.
