I don't think this is a bad rule in any way, but we need to lessen it some. what if its the 4th quarter, and your opponent is about to kick the extra point that puts him up 2 scores. why can't we block that? if your opponent is about to take the game winning FG, why can't we block that. I think that there should be situations where we're allowed to block FG's and XP's. I don't see it as right for every1 to have watch themselves lose or go down by more than 1 score because we're not allowed to block FG's. I think we should give this rule a look over. If you don't think that game-winning FG's get blocked, here's just one from this year

I agree...
It's not like it works every time anyway.

I think if you do it the glitchy way, by bringing the deep man right up next to the tackle, it shouldn't be allowed in Madden-School games at anytime, regardless of the situation...I know there have been countless debates in the forums on this topic, but I'm just telling you my opinion...
As I have told a few people who don't like some of the rules around here, the main thing I would do is talk to your opponent before you play them and lay out the rules that you want to play under...If your opponent doesn't have a problem with FG blocks, then by all means try to block their FGs in that game..

Yea but if they do let blocking easier it will depend on how easier it will get because if its too easy FG's will become useless.

I don't get why you guys are trying to change everything. Field Goals get blocked in the NFL, it happens. Just because people know how to block field goals doesn't mean you ban it from MS games. You got to put up with it and play the game, if he blocks it, then next time go for it on 4th or go for a 2 pointer. Like put up with it.

I agree with u cause I have a fg block that works every time and keeps me in coverage if they try a fake, but I only use it on cheesers or laggers.

agreed CJ i use the non glitch way. I can get it maybe 2/10 times. I dont use it against ppl from the site cus i dont want to get in trouble. I kinda don't like the no defensive player on offense or vise versa. I don't need it to win but thats why it's madden. It's not suppose to be totally realistic.

i like the defensive player on offense vice versa rule, and i dont see how its not keeping it realistic. outtin a guy like cromartie on offense is just as bad as creating another player on the team whos a WR with 97 or 98 speed because the dude does NOT EXIST at that position in real life. And for everyone to be doing it with the fast CBs and Wrs is totally unfair and unrealistic. but regarding to the fg block, i agree. there are ways to do it without cheesing. the way i do it is by taking the MLB in the back, and guessin the snap count PERFECTLY to try and run my guy into the line when the ball is snapped. standing my MLB next to the dt doesnt work. thats only with the return guy. So yea, i dont think its fair to just sit there and watch yourself lose when the game is on the line.

if there was a way for the cpu to do it legitimately, that would be different. but there really isnt.
here are the rules from the Madden Federation (the people that do the world rankings and s***):
"MANUAL/ENHANCED FIELD GOAL/EXTRA POINT AND PUNT BLOCKS ARE BANNED! FAKE FIELD GOALS/EXTRA POINTS AND PUNTS ARE BANNED!
Manual/Enhanced FG/XP and Punt blocks recognized glitches at the Madden Challenge, Madden Federation events, and other major tournies. Since the player on defense has to put down his sticks, banning the use of fake FGs/XPs or Punts for the player on offense is likewise banned at those events too. Any glitches that are indentified and banned by the Madden Challenge, Madden Federation events, and other major tournies are considered "Universally Recognized Glitches" and fall under the "ANY UNIVERSALLY RECOGNIZED GLITCH IS BANNED EVEN IF NOT LISTED!" stipulation listed at"

You should start the game either with fg block on or off. That's BS to be able to do it just because your down or about to lose and then you are able to block and your opponent hasn't had the same opportunity throughout the game. Grow some nuts and take your loss like a man.
I can block Fgs but I never do because it is gay as F*ck. If you and your opponent want to set up your game like that go ahead. And both of you fools can block each other fgs and xpoints throughout the whole game. Does that sound like fun to you. Even the freestyle sites that allow cheese BS don't allow this. So why would you want to bring that sh*t here.

if you are blocking it the gay Lb/returning glitch thing than it should be the same lol but if you are doing something else then the rules should change slightly i havent tried to block a field goal but when i block punts i usually just run up and take a blocker and the cpu blocks it... its completely random tho and doesnt happen alot ive never blocked more than 1 punt a game and it happens like completely random in whatever games i play

only way i would say change it is if u where the d lineman over the center and u managed to shed and block the field goal...any other way i wouldnt say change the rule...the only way i block punts is if my opponent is on the 1 2 or 3 yardline other than that it doesnt happen for me...ill get with the committee and see wat they think since it is a big deal because we all VOTED!!! on it so for now its set in stone like 1 of the 10 commandments u MUST FOLLOW...kapeeeeshhhhhhhhh

if u guys are calling bringing up the return guy for a block a glitch you are wrong (unless im doing something wrong)....ive tried to bring him up every FG or extra point and finally blocked one tonight but that was becuz the guy snapped it when i got right to the line....u have to guess it PERFECTLY just to get close.....so i dont think its a glitch...and should be allowed...ive hurt myself more by trying to block to kick cuz i go offsides and they just go for two instead of one lol
