NEW: PS3 Tournament #5 - Battle of Ballers (sign-ups & rules)

It's that time again. We here at Madden School are ready to start up our next PS3 Tournament. Tell whoever you can, send PSN messages to everyone on your friends and recently met lists, put out smoke signals if you have to. We are accepting entries now. All of our tournaments turn out to be a lot of fun, and we're hoping this one won't be any different. May the best man win.

There are a few rules and prerequisites this time.

Details:

Sign-ups start NOW
Sign-ups end February 2nd
Waiting list will start February 2nd
Only 1st round games will have replacements if necessary
Tournament begins February 6th
No max. or min. # of entrants
Must play 2 games a week
Double elimination
MS Game rules apply:
NO manual FG or punt blocking
NO hurry-up with the fake punt run
NO intentional disconnecting or lagging
NO defensive players on offense
NO onsides kicks until the 2nd half
This tournament you cannot use players on IR (if they have the injury symbol, they sit)
You may use any team in any round
1st place prize will be $1 for every entrant (32 man tourney = $32 1st place prize. $50 max payout)
2nd place wins our new Pittsburgh Offensive PB eBook (available soon)
To secure a spot you must have either 20 posts on our forums or 3 games played with other Madden School members by the start of the tourney

Mod has offered us another great prize, money for a free tournament. For every entrant, the 1st place prize will go up $1, but we will have to cap the money at $50. However, if eBook sales go up for the rest of this month and the month following, he informed me he could pay out as much as $75 or $100 (not bad for a few fun games of Madden).

when the time comes to set up the tournament, if they dont have 20 posts they wont be in the bracket, they can still sign up though. It will be double elimination to keep people excited and feel a part of the site. I know that signle elimination is faster and smoother, but right now we have to go double elimination.

I gotta question. what if you have an injured player that they automatically start. like one of my LB's is injured, but they automatically start him. whaddya do then?

im not sure about the answer but since this tourney is starting after the season is over I don't think it matters if injured or not.
