Easy Field Goal Block

I know this old, but may be new to others and I thought I would share.



Setup:
1. Select your right DT and hit the D-Pad left twice.
2. Wait for your opponent to hike the ball.
3. Then quickly switch players (B = 360 or = PS3) and then dive (X = 360 or = PS3)

I always did it a different way, but I'll try this...

Well i undertsnad what mc is saying cause this year u can block fgs 80% of the time which isnt sim.

i mean us PS3 guys have a rule against FG blocking because it is so effective. it can be done against XPs as well. it is truly unfair, unfortunately. thats why at many tournaments and even a lot of the sanctioned leagues, kick blocking is ILLEGAL.

i hear what you are saying E...however.....to me....just because a "tournament" may not allow somethings in their leagues.....and may call stuff "cheesy" at those events....doesn't mean that they shouldn't be used in a game (except for glitches etc.) you got to remember....EVERYONE online don't care about tournament rules! online is NOT simulation or tournament style....it is "free-style!" where the leagues have rules....online doesn't.

i think we should also coin the term Cheezits (yes, like the snack) as a synonymous word for cheezers, or a group of cheezers.

i coined the term "Cheesitis" nearly 1 1/2 yrs ago...because....it seems like everytime you turn around... this play or that play is called cheesey.

I always tried to let the computer try to block when I did this but now i know i have to switch my guy, Thanks crunk.

ok i get everyone's point of view on here, and i think both sides got a argument to make. FG blocking can be alot cheesy, BUT, at the same time, you shouldn't be able to just exclude this from the game because it does happen in real life. Mcnair and eazy thinks its unfair for the D to block fgs, but it is also unfair not to have to ability to block fgs because the game might be on the line. Everyone else thinks its fair and not cheesy to block fgs. But what i think is that the way to do it, which makes it get blocked like 80% of the time, IS cheesy. But at the same time, there is a way to do it that isn't cheesy. And the way I do it is perfectly realistic and fair because all i do is take my MLB in the back of the line, and just run him up at the line as SOON as the ball is snapped. So basically, I have to guess the snap count PERFECTLY on time in order for it to work. Now that sounds fair right? that should be the rule in my personal opinion. u must block fgs like that

I can do it a different way and it works more than 50% of the time.

EQ...this make good sense. i feel you on most of this post bruh....however....i don't think that in a "real" nfl situation to block a punt or a field goal that they are saying before the snap...that the ONLY legit way to block this is by rushing our MLB....so that the madden community would do it this way as well. NO! they just want to block the punt....by any means necessary! also....everyone talks about this way or that way to set up plays are "cheesy." then...the same should be said for beating man coverage offensively.

EVERYONE knows that man coverage is HORRIBLE this year....and that it is extremely easy to exploit the AI and take "advantage" of it....with a few adjustments or play choices. but...that seems to be okay and not "cheesy?" bruh...in all honesty...i paid way too much money for my system and games to let people that i don't really know...or can't see.....try to tell me how i should play a videogame. now...i am a straight baller in madden...but that is just me! i don't worry about how other people choose to play this game because i can't control that. but...i think that all of this "Cheesitis" crap (or labelling everything cheese) is getting out of hand. before you know it....just by cutting your system on will be called "cheesy."

well they may not say "rush our MLB into the line at the snap", but they are saying, "we need to get a good jump on the snap if we want to block this". So in a way, its still realistic. But I understand your point, but I don't agree on just doing whatever it takes to win. I don't know if you know how it personally feels to get cheated in madden, but I do. And I have had plaenty of unfair experiences that makes me call some stuff cheesy, or even cheating. We know man on man d is terrible this year, but i dont really consider it cheesing to be able to keep killin the stupid AI, because thats how EA presented their game to us. They made it so anyone can beat man to man easily, and be able to keep killin the AI. But as far as something that is just OBVIOUSLY cheating and you cant do nothin about it, such as the fg block, thats definetly a cheese. But hey, its just our own personal opinions. You're right about not having to listen to anyone about whats cheesy, but i dont think anyone was forcing you to lol.

naww man! it's all good bruh! no one can "force" me period! i actually agree with the major of your post and some of your response as well. i am just stating my take on this whole; "Cheesiness" vocabulary about a videogame! and no...i am not about winning by any means either...however, i don't get bent out of shape when cats do that type of stuff against me cause....1st: it means that i am BLASTING them so they have to resort to that garbage....and 2nd: i can't control what the person on the other side of the screen does...so why complain about it? 8)

Should be allowed to be used, but not overused. It pisses me off when people try to block your FG every play.

in case u guys cant do it this way cuz i couldnt figure it out i have another way to do this with the same setup.
1. move your left DT (right on screen) two steps to the left.
2. wait for him to snap the ball.
3. as soon as you see the ball move start tapping RB and RT at the same time.
if u time it right your left DT will take the centers block and your NT will come through and block it himself. heres a video of it.

I know that this is from nearly a month ago, but I think it's pretty funny to look back on....When we were playing our game a couple of days ago, you took the time to message me "cheese" in the middle of our game...So, even though you talk against people who talk about other "cheesy" players, you were the boy who cried cheese just a few days ago lol...
