THE 2009 PS3 CHAMPIONSHIPS

With a new year comes new and exciting challenges. this is wat we here at forum.madden-school.com have come up with for the new year.

1. all records will be cleared accept overall MS records (e.i. blabla 15-4(37-15)). the record in the parenthasis is the overall MS record and the other record is the one that will be used for site rankings...you dig?

2. because forum.madden-school.com (we da best) is growing and expanded we are getting all kinds of gamers. we have a few rules we want to put in to make it so that everyone is playing MS madden and not anything else that we are not about here and here they are.....

NO manual FG or punt blocking
NO hurry-up with the fake punt run
NO intentional disconnecting or lagging
NO defensive players on offense
NO onsides kicks until the 2nd half

3. since forum.madden-school.com is growing we feel the talent level is high enough to expand the top 10 to a top 15. this allow ppl to still be mentioned as top forum.madden-school.com ballers and represent about half of our ps3 active members. reseting records will level the playing field and we will have a new way of deciding the top rankings

4. for starters this current tournament we are in will be the deciding factor for the first site rankings in 09 with the finishes being rank and soon after that regular games played will be involved in. this is so because we want to have like a preseason rnakings and this tournament (#4) will be the basis for that.

5. The results thread will change a little bit so pay attention please...
A) NO DOUBLE POSTING OF SCORES....all double post will be counted so if u are charged with a loss twice its your fault if u double posted the scores
B) WE ARE INCOURAGING PPL TO POST THE EA SPORTS OFFICIAL IN GAME RESULTS. its not maditory but its an easier way to make sure that if u double post for some reason we cna see that and not charge u for your ignorance lol
C) POSTING TRASH TALKING OR ANYTHING ABOUT THE GAME AND REPLAYS IS STILL ALLOWED SO PLEASE DONT FORGET THOSE WITH A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE ACTION CAUS STATS ARENT ENOUGH SOMETIMES
D) AND DONT FORGET THE RULES

THE PREMISE FOR THESE CHANGES IS SO THAT NEW MEMBERS AND OLD MEMBERS CAN BE ON THE SAME PLAYING FIELD. A NEW YEAR MEANS NEW CHANGES NEW EXPERIENCES AND WE BELIEVE THESE CHANGES WILL BRING MORE ATTENTION BIGGER AND BETTER BALLERS TO THIS SITE AND MAKING US THE #1 SITE AROUND. I WOULD LIKE TO THAT ALL MEMBERS WHO PLAY REGULAR MS GAMES AND PLAY IN TOURNAMENTS AND THE SEASON TO KEEP THIS THING GROWING.

I do not understand the resetting of the records ..

its a new year, so its like a new season in football in which everyone's record is reset. But although the records for this new year are resetting, they will still keep your OVERALL record at madden school. So basically like in the NFL, they always reset the records each season, but will look back every now and then on the team's OVERALL record from throughout all the year they been in the NFL

i'm not to fond of the new records idea but i definatly like enforcing those rules. the records dont make a big deal to me because i'm rarely playing anymore.

i have a prob with the punt blocking...... i block punts every now and than and the latest one just won me a game........and it wasnt like i glitched or anything...

We would never reset the records completely. some of us have played over 100 games, and others have gone 34-4 (that's really fuckin amazing Bar) so we don't want to belittle anyone's hard work. but our top 15 is important around here. people come to the site and want to challenge those guys. we have a lot of GREAT, NEW players. new records and rankings should help them feel more apart of the site. like they've been in the PS3 Championships the whole time.

and yeah guys....
about the game results....

when we make the top 15, it helps to be able to go back and see how you did against certain players. like if we're having a debate over who's number.... 4.... we'll see how the 2 players did against top 3 players. how many yards they got on the ground/air, how their defense did, that kinda stuff.

so please please please have the game results sent to your eMail. if you don't know how to do this, it's real simple - from the main Madden menu (the front end) go to online, and then my online, and then settings, then put in your eMail address, and switch then option of 'have game results sent to my eMail' to YES, thats it.

and there you have it. PS3 Championship #1 is coming to a close after this tournament. we're gonna have just a liiiiiittle bit more of structure, a lot more competition, and a few rules.

how do i get in this

if u are a ps3 player u are in it...its not a tournament more like a nation wide (forum.madden-school.com) wide event that goes and goes till we decide to restart it again...every game u play against madden-school members is recorded in our results section and we have standings updates and rankings

how do u sign up?

m-wizzle, its just the power rankings, like we were doing before.

so just come to the site more, and play MS members. then you'll know how good you really are.
