Defensive Tips

Delayed Bump and Run Defense.
a) Call Bump and Run, Then reset the defense
b) The CB’S will line up at normal depth. This action will cause the delayed Bump and Run.

Bump and Grab Defense.
a) Start out in a zone defense and then audible up to man.
b) Once you are in a man defense call bump and run.
c) This should give you additional 2 seconds; Your CB’S should jam the WR’S.

Stopping the Run.
a) Come out in any LB blitz play.
b) Put a spotlight on the RB so that when you see that handoff your guys
automatically start going to the RB.
Most times this will work every time. If you use a run commit it even works better. This will totally
eliminate all Goal Line plays as well as plays where you know your opponent is running. You may want to
control your safety also because if you guess wrong they may throw it up because of the blitz and you
can easily pick it off. I would use this play if they are running a lot or you feel they might run.

Defending Quick Slants.
a) Call Bump and Run Coverage
b) Place the LB’S in Hook Zone Coverage
The only down side to this is that your opponent might see that the flats are open, so keep an
eye on that as well.

Defending against the Deep Pass - Protecting yourself from most deep pass.
Attempts is to playmaker your deep zones. Just one easy step that you’ll want to use anytime you come
out with two deep safeties over the top. Great when defending, against an opponent, who likes to run
the skinny post route.
a) Use a 2 Man Under or Cover 2
b) Press (360 -Y + flick down on right analog stick/PS3 -Triangle + flick down on right analog stick).
Playmaker your two deep safety zones down won’t stop every deep pass. It should leave you to
have fewer deep passes. Practice this and this should improve your game.

this is good also if u have good user skills cover 2 is the best
defense to play it gets everything underneath and if u are skilled
enought u could cover the deep ball ur self just practice those stick
skills

Highliting the Rb and run commiting works so good. using it on 4th and 1 or 2 when u no the guys gonna run it is awesome because they rarely ever get it..

I really need to learn how to user safety because it seems that is the way to shut people down on defense.

its when the CBs push the WRs at the line of scrimmage after the ball is hiked, it can help u alot or really screw u over, depends on ur CBs press rating and the WRs release rating, dnt ever bump n run a speed WR, it will screw u over real bad unless u have an all star safety

yea i hate playing against the packers too, their D is tough

just go for long their cb is slow.

yea but al harris has a press rating of 99 and woodson like 95 or soemthing around there, if they do a delayed bump n run, by the time the WR is free, ur QB is gona be on the ground because of KGB n KAMPMAN, n if the LBS are blitzing, then hawk and barnett will get to the QB fast

that is exactly true....i use to luv to play the packers, cuse i jus throw it deep....but i played a guy who blizted and bumbed and i ended up sack cus owen went like 10 yrds the whole time

TO BEAT DELAYED BUMP AND RUN. SEND UR RECEIVER IN MOTION AND WHEN HE GETS A STEP THEN HIKE THE BALL OR MOTION HIM BEHIND ANOTHER RECEIVER.

man i cant believe i never knew how to do the delayed bump n run. now i can use quentin jammer more effectively.

my favoirte play is 3-4 trio sky one of the best deffensive plays
