| have you guys ever wondered......whether or not switching playbooks is really neccessary? lol! i mean....i played at least 3 cats online earlier today....that used the playbooks for their specific teams on offense and defense. these guys games were tuff man! they threw all types of plays at me....lol! i beleive that there could be an advantage to running your teams specific playbook that is tailor-made for them. what do you guys think? | |

| the only advantages are you can do some of the same things they did last year....like certain packages thats about it the advantages come from picking 1 book and sticking with that your whole madden career and that way you know it,inside out and could write an ebook on it. another advantage i would think is to pick a playbook of a team that suits your playstyle...like pick a book of a time that runs alot and i would think they have some of the better run plays just like i think new england might have some of the best throwing plays but i havent checked so i dunno | |

i hear you on this R2D. and i agree to a point. sure....if you stick with 1 playbook (and don't bounce from book to book) your game will be on point. however, i also believe that a specific teams playbook is tailor-made for them and their personnel. for example: i have been running the RnG playbook for nearly 2 years now. i know it well. however, earlier today.....i switched to the BAL offensive and defensive playbooks to run with the Ravens. bruhhhhh!!! i was actually amazed by how well the Ravens personnel executed the plays offensively out of their own book.....lol! from the short, intermediate and deep passes....to the runs for McGahee and PA. i put together a untested "scheme" and went online and blew up some noob (i had to test out my plays first...before jumping on the big boys...lol!) 35-7. i am just curious and experimenting with it right now but....i must admit, using both of Baltimore's playbooks with the Ravens......was a breeze.....and it was a lot of fun to see some new formations and offensive auto motions.

| ive used the ravens book quite a few times and they have alot of middle runs cause the strong spot is the middle of the line now that J.odgen is gone they have always had a rather conservative book but i always stick with that defensive book and im pretty solid with it | |

| basically the plays are designed based on the team... i use RnG with qb that have arms and with a fast rb....
hence... ravens and cowboys is a 3-4 team so their pb has diff 3-4 formations...nd different blitzes

| i've used the RnG playbook with my Ravens for a while now. don't get me wrong....it works well with them. but....i must admit...i noticed that McGahee seems to run a little better when i used the running plays out of the Baltimore playbook yesterday. there were also "unique" running plays in that book that really fits his running style. i use to run the Baltimore playbook offensively when i first started playing madden and way before i heard of "changing" books like we do in the madden community. so, i'm already familiar with their plays....it's just been a while since i used them....lol!
once again, i beleive that a teams playbook was designed specifically for them and their personnel...but....of course, we can always choose a different playbook that fits our individual style of play.

| i think its about labbing and sticking to a playbook....anyone who uses a playbook that fits their style is going to do good as long as they stick with it and practice with it... | |

this was the same for me. the difference was that....i always run the RNG playbook....so, i recently switched back to the Ravens original playbook. bruuuuhhh! once i got re-familiar with their plays....i have been CRUSHING cats! i think that there are two major reasons for this: 1st: everyone is soooo familiar with the RNG formations and looks....that they have learned to defend them (to a degree). but....they are "unfamiliar" with the Ravens playbook. their Shotgun plays are nice but their runs and Rollout PA plays are KILLER! i am still developing a solid scheme. 2nd: the Ravens "original" playbook and plays.....are unique and tailor-made to fit their personnel and their skills set and abilities in order to be successful. there are no superstar wrs on the Ravens...so...their playbook is designed to compliment Mason's, Figures, Clayton and Smith's abilities on the field....along with Todd Heap at TE. i will continue to use the Ravens offensive playbook for a little while. i am digging it! 8)

| agreed..i think that ppl tend to taylor there playbooks to their ability..if u cant pass y use a book that has great or alot of passing plays in it...now for all around players switching playbboks isnt as hard to do caus we can appreciate there running plays and passings plays and we change books to change up or add to our playing style and for us players at ms who play each other u must add and modify your game caus ppl talk here and pl catch on to how u play and stuff so switching books is a must...point is ppl who use either there favorite team or a team that fits there scheme or the best teams on the game dont run away from team specific books caus other books have the unique plays in it that everyone uses and i think some ppl dont wanna be different (example: that dreaded fullhouse no huddle gimic offense for run n gun or run heavy) | |
