Lawrence taylor arrested

Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor was arrested Thursday in connection with a reported rape in the New York suburbs, police said.
According to The Journal News in Westchester County, police said 51-year-old Taylor has been charged with raping a 15-year-old girl earlier Thursday at a hotel in Montebello.
Taylor was charged with third-degree rape, which involves having intercourse with a minor. The victim reportedly was beaten during the attack.
According to CBS 2 TV in New York, Taylor's lawyer, former Rockland County District Attorney Kenneth Gribetz, said his client is innocent and will enter a not-guilty plea.
"We spoke to Mr. Taylor and we're convinced that he will be ultimately exonerated of these charges," Gribetz told the station. "He's upset. He's obviously detained, he's upset and he wants to prove his innocence and be exonerated as quickly and as expeditiously as possible."
The Journal News reported that the victim is an apparent runaway from the Bronx who was brought by a pimp to the Holiday Inn where Taylor was staying, according to Ramapo Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence. Authorities told the newspaper that the girl was beaten up at the hotel and later needed treatment at a hospital.
"She was a runaway since March and there was a pimp involved," St. Lawrence told the paper. "She got punched in the face. We're not sure who did it."
Police said they would hold a news conference Thursday afternoon and declined to immediately respond to more detailed questions from The Associated Press.
Police say Taylor lives in Pembroke Pines, Fla.
Taylor was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1999 and competed in ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" last year. He had a highly publicized struggle with drug addiction and has had multiple legal run-ins in retirement.
A quick, fierce and athletic linebacker who redefined his position, Taylor anchored the Giants' defense and led them to Super Bowls titles in 1987 and 1991. He was selected to the NFL's 75th Anniversary All-Time Team.
A 10-time Pro Bowl pick, Taylor was the NFL's Most Valuable Player in 1986 and the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year in 1981, 1982 and 1986. He recorded 132.5 sacks, which doesn't included the 9.5 sacks in 1981 when the statistic wasn't official.
In 2001, Taylor was convicted of possessing drug paraphernalia in New Jersey. The conviction stemmed from the September 1998 discovery in a hotel room of a butane torch and other materials commonly used to smoke crack.
In 1996 and 1997, Taylor was arrested in South Carolina and Florida on drug charges. In those cases, he either admitted his guilt or agreed to enter a pretrial intervention program.
In 2000, Taylor drew five years of federal probation for filing false tax returns and for tax evasion.

LT's football record and his game is just too good for him to go out like that its a shame OJ was crazy good but he goe's out being a dumbass and now it looks like the same for LT its a shame

man why even put yourself in a position to come under these circumstances? its just dumb, he's got a great legacy, arguably one of the best linebackers of all time, and a player who truly changed the game, hope it doesnt hurt his image or ruin his personal life.

Imagine how much better LT would have been less the crack addiction when he was playing in the NFL. GOAT and a big time crackhead was thinking about crack while in the huddle. Just insane to think about it.
